Absolutely primitive check-in process

Pros: Very clean, rooms are well-equipped, great location for our needs.
Cons: Check-in process, room keys, staff.
Location: Across the street from UTSA, around the corner from excellent shopping, down the street from Six Flags.
We've stayed here several times because of the location, mostly. The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable and well-equipped. But, the check-in process is simply inefficient to an absurd degree. Almost every time we've checked in to this hotel, the computers are slow, the person just stares at the screen without engaging us, and every single time, the room keys fail at some point during the stay. This time was particularly awkward because, about 15 minutes after getting into our room, taking our shoes off, turning on the TV and resting for a few minutes before having to go out again, another guest used their own key given to them when they checked in and just came right in to our room. All of us were shocked and the people pretty much sprinted back to the elevator to go back to the lobby to get the problem straightened out. For this mistake, we received a $30 food and drink credit. Just seems that in this day and age, the mistakes an establishment makes should be at a much higher level. Our issues are regarding basic operations.

We did not realize that "Garden Suite" meant the room was the size of a small garden. The room was extremely small for two people with a lot of luggage. Luckily we did not have to spend much time there other than to sleep and take showers. The floor of the shower stall was very slippering, especially when soap got on it. We almost went out to buy a rubber mat because we feared we would slip and fall in the shower! The evening staff was very nice. The lady who was on duty the morning we checked out was not very friendly. I asked her for a copy of the receipt and was told that she could not provide one because I used a 3rd party site to book the room. If and when we go back to San Antonio, we will not be staying at this hotel.

A deluxe room with extra 200 sq ft may have been more to your liking with an upgrade cost of just $20 more. Pros: Location
Cons: Air condition/heating noisy....upgrade.
Location: Close to La Cantera Mall.
The heating a/c was noisy, made sleeping difficult. My fault that I did not notice that there was not complimentary breakfast. At the price, breakfast should of been furnished. But, being close to where we needed to go was a plus. The bathroom was too small.

San Antonio business traveler

The Wyndham Garden Hotel in San Antonio is a great little spot. Small hotel, perfect if you are traveling alone. The staff is friendly and very attentive. Access to all major routes and plenty of shopping near by if you have down time.

Stayed for a wedding. Loved the shower. Only reason it wasn't great all across was the bathroom door kept locking itself.

Stay here if you're going to Six Flags

We stayed two nights. Nice room, comfortable bed, but the pillows were rather lumpy. Shower water was very soft, which made the shower floor feel very slick - we suggested they should provide a non-slip mat for the shower. Location was great, very close to Six Flags Fiesta Texas and plenty of restaurants.
