the location right on the beach was great plus the heated pool and hot tubs were my main attractions. Rooms and hotel itself was good but not great. Hotel cafe and parking were extra and expensive, but available. Weather was cloudy and cool each morning but thats San Diego and not the hotel

Older hotel that’s been nicely updated. Loved that it was right on the beach with the boardwalk right in front of the property. Room was comfortable & clean. Pool area was well maintained. Staff was friendly. Plenty of on-site parking for a fee. We really enjoyed our stay. Listening to the ocean was great!

It was not what we expected. We reserved partial view and we had zero view. The frame of the bed injured my husband’s knee really bad and I was bitten by bed bugs.

The only real complaint was the music played at the pool. It drowned out the sound of ocean and was quite irritating.

Looks old from the outside but inside is nice and comfortable. Enjoyed the pool/hottub and beach. Watching dolphons every night from our balcony was awesome! We will come back!

Great location on the PB oceanfront walk. Rooms were nicer than expected. Parking easy. Hot tub was super crowded but at least they have one facing the water. Fire pits are a nice amenity for sunset view and people watching.

This is the third time I’ve stayed at the Wayfarer Hotel. I like this hotel because it is next to the boardwalk and the Pacific Ocean. I also like the heated swimming pool and hot tub that faces out towards the boardwalk and the ocean. The staff are all very friendly and housekeeping is excellent! My room was cleaned daily. I plan on coming back to the Wayfarer in the future when I stay at Pacific Beach.

Wish I would have stayed longer than 1 night. The sofa bed was not the most comfortable for an adult but fine for kids. Cute and spacious 1 king room. Liked it had a Keurig and spacious fridge. Restaurants with in walking distance.

I recently stayed at The Wayfarer with my husband and 5 year old. Overall, we had an excellent stay. The staff is wonderful; they were friendly, accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing time. I love that you can text the front desk, instead of calling or walking to talk to someone. Upon arrival, we upgraded our room to an ocean view with a separate space for our son. It was worth it for the view, separate space, and the fun bunk bed! The rooms were clean, quiet, and the whole hotel has a fun surfer vibe. Features that we loved include the Bluetooth speaker in the room, stylish robes, games in the lobby for early arrival, laundry availability ($2.50 per machine, which you can independently operate with an app), proximity to the beach and tons of places to eat on the boardwalk. The photos of the pool area do not do it justice - it is so beautiful and comfortable! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to San Diego, with or without a family. Thanks for a great experience!

The location is pretty awesome. Right on the beach, but hotel was not that nice and being on the first floor there was a lot of noise from above. I usually do vacation rentals and would recommend that over staying at this hotel.

Hotel is very nice and clean and super convienet to go to the beach. I like how when you come back from a day at the beach they have a wash area where you can wash the sand mext to the pool area. I also liked the heated pool hot tub. Also their coffee shop zephyr is really good too. Everyone is friendly.

My now GO To hotel when visiting San Diego. My king room w/couch led directly to the pool. Private lounge sofa is directly outside your sliding glass door. The beach view is literally at the pool. Great staff, location to food spots is A . No issue w/noise etc on a Saturday night. Requests for service is optional through txt. Great hotel! Absolutely will stay again when visiting San Diego.
