Perfect hotel location

Loved this hotel, staff was friendly and very helpful. Gaslamp Quarter was walking distance and many other attractions or at lease not to far. Overall a Great stay would have another stay there for another visit

No fork

Was overall a good (as in slightly above average) hotel experience. Call me a snob (perhaps life in NYC ruined me), but when a customer calls for a fork, you oblige them by bringing it to the room. I would not recommend telling the customer to come downstairs and grab one (a reasonable customer often tips for these types of things).

Satisfactory hotel

Valet only parking is not convenient for the price. Customer should have a choice for self parking since the cost for the valet parking was too much!

Good location in downtown San Diego

Pros: Good location and reasonable rates; close to transit options (busses, trolleys, Amtrak station, bus from airport).
Cons: More useful furnishings in newly remodeled rooms.
Location: Walking distance to Gaslamp Quarter and waterfront. Use bus or trolley system to get to Oldtown, Balboa Park, Coronado Island, San Diego mission.
Hotel rooms being remodeled above 5th floor, so some noise after 8 a.m. We switched rooms from older room on 5th floor to newly renovated room on 7th because my husband was getting possible bed-bug bites after 4 nights. I didn't suffer any, though. New room looked very cool and modern but was much less practical--no desk, one chair, no drawers at all to store clothes, just shelves in a small wardrobe. The large tv stand had only a narrow shelf below the admittedly good quality large-screen television. There is a fire station nearby, so sirens are heard fairly often. However, from a safety standpoint, it's good the station is close. Other traffic noises can be heard as is typical of a downtown location.

Pros: The location was ideal for us.
Cons: The noise was rough. We were woken up everyday by noise. Sounded like bob the builder was hard at work every morning. That was unfortunate.
Location: The location was perfect.
The location was perfect, we only used an uber to go to the beach. This hotel is clean, the staff are friendly, and the bed was comfortable. The only thing I would worn you about is that the room was small (but nice) and it was very noisy.

Very Convenient

Pros: Comfortable bed, hotel was under renovation, but they provide ears plugs. Noise didn't bother us
Location: Walking distance to Uss Midway, Gaslamp Quarter
It was a plus! We got to the hotel early and they have a room available for us. Valet person and Eric, front desk, was friendly

Nice downtown location.

Nice boutique hotel with great downtown location at an affordable price. Does not have the all the bells and whistles of more expensive luxury hotel but is priced is not priced like a luxury hotel either. Overall great stay and would recommend to others.

Great Hotel

Pros: Location, spacious rooms, friendly staff
Location: Close to Gaslamp district and Horton Plaza Shops
We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Great little boutique hotel; nice spacious rooms, comfortable beds and great friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Good location and professional staff

The location is great - easy walk to Gaslamp, Little Italy, among other fun areas. Rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel staff was very polite and accommodating - we had an issue that required us to need a different room and the staff had a new key at our door with help to carry our bags within a few minutes of requesting. There is some street noise at night, but nothing I wouldn't expect from any city. They do provide ear plugs. Overall, great place. I would stay there again.

Cute boutique hotel

Cons: The only down side I found was the parking, quite expensive.
Location: LIttle Italy
I am obsessed with boutique hotels lately. So I decided to give this one a try. Loved it. Very cute, comfortable. Not too small like some boutique hotels are in Europe. The staff was very friendly. I thought the location was perfect.
