Nice Hotel

Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and worked nicely together. Check in and Check out quick and efficient. Great location.

Good price, quite, clean and the staff is very nice. It's in the middle of renovations.

Nice hotel

Pros: Convenience to the Welks resort close to shopping areas, food, restaurant just a nice place
Cons: They were working on the remodel so you really can't complain they're trying to update the hotel
Convenient to restaurants the freeway lots of shopping areas hotel was nice very clean non-smoking but they had it outside smoking area for your convenience overall nice place

Great staff, room condition sub par

Location: Too close to free, a few transients stole free breakfast.
Staff was nice and helpful, room was clean but needed a remodel or update heavy used. Bathroom was spackeled with puddy all over the place to cover or fill gaps in the shower and floor. Was unable to sleep as guests were arguing and slamming doors all night drugs were involved. Was awoken at 3AM to a screaming lady yelling something " go tell your other girl friend to go to hell" I will pay the extra $20.00 a night next time I am in the area and stay stay somewhere else.

Great location, needs repairs - mold!

Pros: Breakfast was included. Great variety. Jimmy Dean sandwiches, bread items, cereal, waffles, yogurt, huge selection of fruit. Good location.
Cons: Black mold on the interior black out curtain! When we pulled back the outer curtain that covers the sliding glass door, there was mold on the curtain.
Location: Great location! Close to 15 freeway, 10 miles/20 mins from Safari Park, at least 10 restaurants in very close proximity.
Pros: 1. Breakfast was included. Great variety. Microwavable Jimmy Dean sandwiches, lots of bread items, cereal, oatmeal, waffle iron, yogurt, huge selection of fresh fruit, even strawberries and watermelon! Our room was directly across from the breakfast room, which was convenient. We were surprised that we were not woken up by others going to the breakfast room at 6am. 2. Great location! Close to 15 freeway, 10 miles/20 mins from Safari Park, at least 10 restaurants in very close proximity (mostly fast food, but there were some sit down), and also close to other stores, included a Target. Cons: 1. Pain chips on the doors and doorways, especially the bathroom door. The inside of the bathroom door has so much paint peeling off, even the kids were appalled. 2. Black mold on the interior black out curtain!!! We didn't notice this until the AM. When we pulled back the outer curtain that covers the sliding glass window, the interior white curtain had black mold across the bottom of it. Ugh. Disgusting. 3. The male clerk that checked up in was friendly, but Kimberly at the front desk at check in was short and unhelpful. When we asked the male clerk for directions to our room, and he asked Kimberly where our room was, she just said "I don't know." She is either knowledgeable or unhelpful. I believe the later to be true. It's not a large hotel.

Pros: Couch in room. Breakfast was available.
Cons: The elevator was small (smallest I've seen). Four adults would be crowded.
Even though the place is right next to a freeway (I-15), which is convenient in and of itself, we heard absolutely no noise.

Noise and homeless at breakfast

First night, neighbors partied loud until 5:30 am. Only got a 50% refund for that night of zero sleep at check out after being told would get refund. Area homeless are all over the hotel area and are allowed to roam into the breakfast room and eat hotel breakfast provided. Sorry but the fact is filthy, open wounds and mental illness kinda can ruin your appetite. Would not wonder out at night alone.

Another bucket list trip

I traveled to California with my 85 year old Mom, to visit my daughter and young grandson. We picked this hotel and were completely satisfied! I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Escondido! We enjoyed our stay! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!!!!!!!

Unhappy Stay

Upon Check in - reception person was on the phone and asked me to wait a minute which turned into over 5 minutes and she finally called someone else to check me in. I was assigned room 226. I took the elevator to 2nd floor. Immediately upon leaving the elevator is the ice machine directly in front of the elevator - now turn right and within 8 feet are rooms 225 & 226 - very poor location. Room has small balcony overlooking a roof top that is just ugly Trying to sleep at night and the ice machine would come on at intervals. Not happy about this stay
