Comfortable but no food outside of breakfast

Posted Jun 24, 2017
We enjoyed our stay, enjoyed the breakfast and the location. The room was clean and staff was pleasant. We were disappointed by the fact that the area that they call a 'lounge' is just a seating area outside: this hotel serves no food or drinks outside of breakfast. Maybe that was in the fine print, but we missed it and didn't plan for it. We thought we could have lunch and drinks by the pool or at the lounge. Also, the kids spent a lot of time at the pool which was nice but small. Other guests were arguing over the very limited poolside seating, and next door they were doing loud construction. Because of the construction and no food or drinks available, I have to give it 4 stars over all.

Family vacation

Posted Jun 3, 2017
Booked this hotel as a last minute reservation after a bad experience with another hotel ended with us checking out five minutes after checking in. I was nervous because I hadn't researched this hotel but we really lucked out. Convenient location, friendly staff, clean rooms, and a yummy breakfast. The only thing I didn't like was paying for parking.

Good location, nice hotel, and good service

Posted May 17, 2017
Pros: Located adjacent to Old Town and close to both the San Diego Zoo and Downtown San Diego.
Cons: Parking could be free/included in the room price.
Location: Old Town, San Diego Zoo, Little Italy.
Located adjacent to Old Town and close to both the San Diego Zoo and Downtown San Diego. Nice and comfortable hotel. Very nice hot breakfast that includes make your own waffles, eggs, sausage/bacon and variety of other items. There is a nice pool and a fire pit outside. The lobby area is a nice place to relax and hang out. There is always coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available near the entrance. There is a nice fitness room. Wifi is included, but parking is extra. The staff is friendly and hospitable.

Great Continental Breakfast

Posted May 13, 2017
Waffle maker was a hit with my kids. One of the elevators was out during our stay. We would not have minded taking the stairs to our room but the stairway was not accessible from the lobby. We had to exit the building and enter the stairway from outside. That was weird.
