Perfect For Visiting Friends.

Posted May 22, 2017
We stayed in the Holiday Inn as our friends live nearby. It was clean, well maintained and was a bed for us to sleep in. It wasn't much different from any hotel chain in it's price range, but it was nice to be a few miles down the street vs. being on I8. All the staff was courteous and helpful.

Manager Will Not Refund You...

Posted May 3, 2017
I had a last minute cancellation due to work. I called Expedia before 6PM. On Holiday Inn's website it says cancellations can be made before 6PM. When they called on my behalf, the manager would not issue a refund. I work as a GM myself and if a guest cancels before the 6PM window I would refund them. Expedia or not. Care about your guests more than revenue people.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. IHG has a 24 hour cancellation policy. We do care about our guests very much. Therefore, we do allow exceptions based on emergency situations within the 24 hour cancellation time frame.

Stayed a week

Posted May 2, 2017
Pros: The large suite we were able to get for a week stay. Convenient location to freeway, restaurants, car wash. Small restaurant/bar on premises.
Cons: Hotel is very dated, could use a good refurbishing. Furniture and carpeting were old, the jacuzzi tub leaked water into the wall and into the bedroom.
Staff was really friendly and helpful, especially Shawny, she saved us from a terrible Expedia experience.

I am pleased to hear that Shawnie saved the day! I appreciate the feedback on the suite and the jacuzzi. We have put it out of order to repair quickly. Stay tuned to our website, as we are doing upgrades. We just replaced all of the mattresses and the pillows. Further, we just enhanced the pool area with a new deck. We are looking to update the rooms just after the summer!

Unpleasant stay at the Holiday Inn.

Posted Apr 19, 2017
The room was on 1st level facing the front entrance of the hotel. The noise level from people talking outside was horrible. Front desk was notified but it did not change the situation. This was late in the evening. I did not have a descent night's sleep. I would never stay at this hotel again. The bed sheets and pillows had an odd odor.

We are sorry to hear about the noise from people talking outside. We have taken a few additional steps to ensure our guests get quality sleep. We have implemented a "Quiet free Time" of 10:00pm. We are working with all of our team members to remind guests as they walk by them in the evening.

Check towels before using

Posted Mar 30, 2017
Pros: front desk staff was helpful
Cons: better housecleaning
Location: 7-11 store and alley,
There was a strong urine smell in the bathroom. I could not figure out what it was until I washed my hands and reached for the wash cloth that was folded like a fan and inserted into the bath towel to make pretty hanging on the towel rack. After drying my hands I noticed an even stronger urine spell, and looking at the towel I saw that it had deep yellow spots on it and the yellow spots smelled like urine. The towel looked and smelled like someone had wiped the under side of the toilet stool with it. This made my skin crawl and I asked for another room. The front desk clerk was very helpful she offered me another room down the hall on the same floor, but I was so freaked out by the housecleaning that I requested to be moved to another floor and asked for fresh towels to be brought up. Around 11:30pm we were awaken by a crowd of people coming in and talking loud, sometimes this is expected when staying at a hotel. BUT after the initial noise of doors slamming and people running from one room to another and loud voices, I dozed back off to sleep only to be awaken about 30 minutes later with someone yelling NO!NO! NO! WHY! WHY! ETC, then the doors slamming starting all over again and the loud voices in the hallway. This went on for about 10 to 15 minutes, then settled down. Around 1:15 the same person started yelling LEO! LEO! LEO!...... OVER AND OVER, once again the doors slamming and loud voices again. This time I called down to the front desk to report it.

Our apologies for the smelly towels. Our new Executive Housekeeper has personally reviewed all of our towels and linen as well as the cleansing process. I can assure you that we have rectified this situation. Further, we have increased our staffing, at night, to ensure that noisy guests are quieted down quickly.
