Not up to LA Quinta standards at all.

This hotel was so old and worn we couldn't believe it was a LA Quinta. Smelly, noisy, tiny room. The advertised airport shuttle had very limited service hours which did not help us at all. We took another cab to a different hotel even though we did not get our money refunded because we paid Expedia. The hotel wouldn't help us. We will never recommend it.

Nice hotel with an easy walk to Old Town

Pros: The complimentary breakfast and highest standard of customer service. The hotel provides a free airport shuttle. No need to pay for car service.
Cons: Blackout curtains/blinds to shut out the morning sun. Include the cost of the safe in the room rate.
Location: Located less than 3 miles from the airport. Walking distance to Old Town.
The staff was exceptional. We arrived early and our room wasn't ready. They held our luggage. The front desk personnel were very helpful and gave us a map and directions and helped us to cancel our car service and arranged a free shuttle back to the airport. Out room was the kind deluxe with a desk and there was an easy chair, desk. There was a fridge and microwave. The room was clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was abundant, not your typical packaged sweets and coffee. There was sausage, scrambled eggs, waffle mix, toast, muffins, cereal, coffee, juice, yogurt. There is a swimming pool and hot tub available, which we didn't utilize, but others seemed to be enjoying them. The evening of our check in, the staff called to inquire if everything was to our standard and to see if we needed anything. The evening before our check out, we receievd another call. The level of service is superb. Will definitely stay here again.

Very close to airport and old town

We can walk to old town and sration just 10 minutes. Also we have shuttle to airport. It's very comfortable hotel to move everywhere.

Staff was excellent. Suggest asking for a room on opposite side of hotel from Interstate 5 which is within rock-throwing distance on west side of hotel.

Well Located Older Facility

Pros: Location
Cons: Parking
Location: Very nicely located to all San Diego neighborhoods, airport, downtown, Pt Loma, Hillcrest and Mission Valey.
Great front office staff; quiet, comfortable room if not on I-5 side. Parking is awkward.

It has a good location, close to airport & everyth

I had fun specially it is my first time in San Diego. My husband and I was so grateful La Quinta Inn & Suites is strategically located in Old town, walking distance around the town. Very close to the airport and the way going to downtown. Served breakfast was not the best but everything is good. Staff were all nice, and their shuttle was available taking us to airport for our flight back to San Francisco.

Nice and close to freeway

Close to downtown and freeway was a PLUS!! I would definitely stay again. The free breakfast was delicious as well.

Family Wedding i San Diego

Pros: It was convenient for walking to the Old Town.
Cons: Sound proofing of external bedroom windows. Larger breakfast room.
Location: Very handy for walking to the Old Town and not too far from the airport
Acceptable but the room was very dark, Breakfast facilities basic. Traffic noise rather high.

I booked the room for my Mother so she he could be at my Nephews graduation from Marine boot camp. She said everyone was friendly and the beds were comfortable.
