Rundown and in unsafe location

Posted Jun 25, 2017
The hotel is rundown and in an unsavory neighborhood. I didn't spot any surveillance cameras which makes me nervous and the parking lot is small and unsecured. Our key cards stopped working every single night! You need them to get to the elevator to work but each night upon return we had to go to front desk to get new ones. (And they weren't very apologetic!)The room was run down, the bed was sagging on one side and the a/c was soooo loud and barely worked. The tv didn't have CC (or open caption) which sucks bc between the loud AC and my awful hearing I couldn't hear the tv. The bathroom was disgusting with cracked tiles and peeling grout. I never go barefoot inside a hotel but I 100% made sure the kids had shoes on the entire time bc the rugs were musty and damp. The breakfast had almost no healthy options. They soaked the yogurt in a big tub of water so you pick it up and it's just dripping and gross, the eggs are left in an uncovered bowl out in the open which is so unsanitary and the fruit was gross looking. I work for a major hotel/casino chain in Las Vegas and even the low budget amongst us are way better than this. I usually stay at a ramada but I don't think it's a safe bet anymore. This one is definitely the Ramada time forgot so I wonder how many more are like this.

Last Resort

Room was okay. Bed felt like sleeping on the floor it was sooo hard, breakfast was very mediocre ( very minimal choices). Room keys worked one time then had to keep going to main office to get new keys because keys kept not working. Small amount of parking available. Air conditioner barely worked at all just made really loud noises.

Clean and updated

Everything was nice. The room was clean, the staff was very pleasant. We didn't have time to eat the breakfast there though. The beds were super comfy and the bathroom was updated.

Room smelled, but didn't make me sick. Bed was ok

Pros: It's one notch better than Motel 6,
Cons: I dislike the location of the lobby, and where they ate breakfast. I felt it needed a better computer area
Location: It's not a safe location, I wouldn't recommend being there for any reason
Front desk when I was there was polite, and helpful.

Nice staff, great location

All the staff members were friendly and the location was very convenient- right off I-5! Breakfast was good - minimal choices, but always something that we enjoyed (make your own waffles, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee, etc). The only complaint I had was the room. It was clean, but even though it's now a non-smoking room, you can tell it used to be a smoking room. It had this deep, set in cigarette smoke smell that was very strong.
