Was close to work with easy freeway access.

Cons: pillows

Hotel seemed to have a lot of permanent residents

There were many loiterers around the hotel, some sleeping in cars in the parking lot. There were also men skateboarding at 2am while guests were sleeping.

Nice hotel, perfection location!!!

This hotel is suited my family's needs perfectly . It's located right down the street from the beach , and legoland was literally 5 minutes away. I would stay here again and definitely recommend it to my friends and family .

Nightmare near LegoLand

Came home only to find out my daughter caught lice from the room. Also the shower waters were labled backwards so my daughter took a cold shower thinking there was no hot water. Never go there.

Good price but not for mattress

A clean and quiet motel but the king bed mattress was not good. We both woke up with horrible back aches.

HORRIBLE MOTEL!

The WORST motel experience I have ever had!! I stayed more than a week, so I got a good feel for exactly the kind of place they are & the way they treat people and it is horrible! It's absolutely unacceptable on every level. If they gave me a room for FREE, I wouldn't stay there!!! I wish I could give negative stars, especially to Ray, the front desk person. He treats everyone with such DISRESPECT, it's unbelievable. He could care LESS about you, your kids, your pets, your experience, your vacation, your money, your business, etc! If it weren't for the fact that this dump is located in Carlsbad, it wouldn't even stay in business. The police were there nearly every night. Domestic violence occurred in the rooms constantly. A BEDBUG crawled across my leg one night! Bring your own towels. They will not give you any clean ones. Don't even ask. In fact, don't ask for anything; not a sink that isn't clogged, or even for water. (They shut it off completely, with no warning, no apology & no ETA on when it would come back on. Nada. Shampoo in your eyes & hair? Oh well!!! Live w/it. They DON'T care!) I personally witnessed one of the housekeepers physically accost a guest over a pillow. Re-pack your car every time you leave your room, too. They leave ALL the doors wide open when they're supposedly "cleaning" them. Pay an extra ten dollars a night and give a motel your business who actually DESERVES it & values you. This place does NOT... and never will, until people stop staying there.

Terrible motel right next to the freeway

This place never let you down when it comes to letting you down. The cheapest and oldest sheets, pillows, and mattresses. No stopper in the bathtub so I hope you only need a shower. The type of motel room that would definitely be the location of the movie revolving around a suicide or murder. For $75 or more it really makes you wonder about the value of just sleeping in your car

Nice hotel in Carlsbad

Pros: Inexpensive and hassle free, close to Carlsbad beach.
Cons: Some furniture could use some update.
Location: Carlsbad state beach is nearby, and some nice eateries are just a few miles away on Carlsbad Village Drive.
It's good enough for 2 night stay, it's basically clean for its age, you can clearly see the wear and tear in the room. And be aware it doesn't offer free breakfast if that's a must for you.

Disappointed

This was such a bad experience my family and I didn't end up staying the last night. We did not feel safe. The staff did come to look at our concerns but brushed them off as nothing. I am.sorry but if a door pops open in the middle of the night or you have to put the full weight of and adult male to be able to lock the door that is a concern. To them it was no big deal. When stating there was mold on the shower curtain they put there finger on it and scrapped it off and said no mold. Just wasn't a good feel. I sent my family to my parents and tried to stay the last night but in the end it was not worth staying so I left and joined my family. I do not recommend this hotel. Very disappointing.
