The hotel was in a great location, but it is very dated. If they would do a renovation of the rooms it would be fantastic. The restaurant Oceana was fabulous and the prices are good. Service on the beach was great, Aldo got us chairs and brought our food and drink to us and was very attentive. Fabulous ...
I would rate this Resort as very relaxing and quiet. Very friendly staff and well kept resort. Would definitely return to this resort whenever we return to San Diego. Away from the hustle and bustle but yet just a 20-25 minute drive in either direction to get wherever you want to go. Also, the golf ...
What a gem! Gorgeous property with every amenity you could want. We enjoyed excellent dinners at Vivace and Argyle, upscale restaurants at hotel. Outstanding golf course and spa. We will definitely be going back to this resort.
Everything about our stay at Kings Inn was wonderful!! The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were comfortable and clean, the pool and spa were very inviting. There are two restaurants, both were reasonably priced with excellent food.
Wanted a quick getaway before winter for two. Found La Casa Del Zorro (LCDZ) in tranquil Borrego Spring. LCDZ is one of the top resorts in Borrego Spring, the center of the Anza-Borrego desert state park. The property was recently renovated in 2013 and had great facilities. We enjoyed the spa and ...
Ideally located for attendance at a conference at the Convention Centre. Restaurants and cafes are very expensive so suggest exploring outside the hotel. Great views and lovely pools / spa. The hotel double charged my credit card however and did not even offer to compensate for their mistake.
Very clean, modern hotel. Lovely pool and spa area. Beautiful reception area and free coffee available up to 10.30am. All major tourist attractions only a ten to fifteen minute drive.
Large comfortable room, clean grounds, including pool and spa. every room has large size balcony.
This is the 5th time I have stayed here. The room is spacious with beautiful views of the golf course or the reserve. The spa is fantastic and the pool is wonderful, overlooking the golf course and the Pacific Ocean. The staff are all friendly and ready to assist.
Pictures of this hotel on the web make it look better than it actually is. Rooms are dated although I understand they are in the middle of renovation or plan to renovate soon. Once you explore the grounds and facilities, however, the place does have a lot to offer. The pool is very nice. There is ...
Excellent Spa and Staff, cool little island, the rooms are newly renovated, very comfortable beds. Had a nice private Garden Lanai, next time I think I would get the ocean view, then the beach is literally out your back door.
Spent a couple of nights with the family to visit Legoland and the experience was great. 24 hr pool. Great great restaurant to get breakfast buffet and nice Dinner with wine and tapas. Private access to Legoland, very convenient. Staff very friendly and service was great. SPA on site. Don't know ...

Some say it’s always 70 F and sunny in San Diego. While this coastal city does boast very comfortable temperatures year round, the area cools down a bit during the winter, especially at night. The winter months also see more rain than the rest of the year, but it usually doesn’t sprinkle for more than a day or two at a time.
At the beach, the temperatures are slightly cooler than inland, even during the summer months. Also down at the beach, during late spring the marine layer sometimes causes fog to roll in, which has led the locals to nickname the months May Gray and June Gloom. Although the fog usually burns off by the afternoon, avoid this time of year if you’re looking to soak up the California sunshine all day long.
The summertime is bright and sunny with temperatures hovering around the 70s and 80s F. However, because the kids are out of school and the weather is perfect for a day at the beach, crowds tend to take over this SoCal spot, particularly from June through August. Consider visiting during September or early October when the tourists have left but the beach weather is still lingering.
Take advantage of the pleasant weather and spend some time outdoors. Head to La Jolla Cove, and watch the seals and sea lions basking on the rocks, or mosey through the gardens and museums of Balboa Park. While you’re in town, take surf lessons at Pacific Beach, or spend the afternoon picnicking at Mission Bay. If you’re in the mood for some hiking, hit the coastal trails at Torrey Pines or climb Cowles Mountain for sweeping views of the city.
After soaking up all that sunshine, take some time to get know San Diego’s history and culture. Begin your adventures in the Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. Considered the birthplace of San Diego, this site is home to the city’s first courthouse and public school house, along with adobe houses and other artifacts and vintage structures. Then visit the Presidio of San Diego, which dates back to 1769, and take a tour of the William Heath Davis House in the Gaslamp Quarter. After a day of exploration, rest up at one of the top resorts in or near San Diego.
