Good Budget Hotel for the LocationPosted Jan 5, 2016
Cons: Improve the appearance of the hotel. It looks run down and could you use some remodeling to update the facility.
Location: Location is in the Northwest part of San Diego and is a short distance to La Jolla and it's beaches and Pacific Beach as well.
While this hotel probably does need some remodeling to update it's overall appearance, the location is excellent for our family. Very close to La Jolla and the beaches at La Jolla and Pacific. Also easy access to downtown freeway which is a short distance away.

Good hotel with a few reservationsPosted Nov 12, 2015
Pros: It was inexpensive and clean.
Cons: It needs to be maintained a bit.
Location: The location was directly off the the highway I was on and was easy to find. I didn't venture out, so I couln't tell you about nearby extra-curricular
After traveling through approximately 30 miles of stop and go, 20-45 MPH traffic, I finally arrived at this hotel. The woman at the front desk was courteous and professional. Check-in was rather painless. At first impression, the room appeared clean and comfortable. However, the bathtub wouldn't drain (after 30 minutes I figured that this would have to happen without me). After a much-needed shower I was looking forward to relaxing on the bed and watching a little television. The tv remote was nowhere to be found. After calling the front desk and informing them of this unfortunate situation, they brought one to my room. Overjoyed, I immediately started pressing the portable buttons to get my evening going. Much to my dismay, the remote was incorrect for this situation. It appeared that a cable-box was recently installed (none of the wires were secured and wasn't facing forward like normal cable-boxes) and the remote was specifically for a "non cable-box" configuration. At this point I was desperate, so I downloaded the manual, and sadly confirmed this. Frustrated, I was resigned to just forgetting about entertainment and going to sleep. After turning out the lights and primping the pillows, I noticed a very large gap between the bottom of the door and the floor, which was letting the streetlight shine through. A little light never hurt anyone, I figured. But how big of a varmint would be able to fit through this while I was unconscious?

Hostile ReceptionPosted Nov 8, 2015
Cons: Hire receptionists who know the basics of customer service.
We pulled up in car about 20 feet from the lobby entrance, and the supervising receptionist very rudely ordered me to move the vehicle another 10 feet forward or else we would not be allowed to check-in. She said we were blocking traffic, though there no vehicle present and there was ample room for cars to transit. I explained we were going to be stopped just the few minutes it would take to check in, but she angrily insisted the car be moved. The receptionist scowled the whole time I would have left, but the room was paid for. The room was in bad need of a thorough cleaning. There was zero TV reception, and the desk told us that nothing could be done as the service was out.

Decent placePosted Nov 4, 2015 on Hotels
Not too much super close to the hotel, but it has easy access to the highway to get anywhere, and is close to a bus stop if you need that. The hotel was average / as expected. Breakfast was good, nothing fancy. The only bad part was that the water didn't drain well in the shower, so I had to take quick showers.
