Cabrillo Inn & Suites

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Everything.
This was the worst hotel I stayed in when I was traveling. The lobby stinks and you would be wise to breath through your mouth and not your nose. The hotel had people banging away on the roof at 7:00am. I am not sure why they couldn't wait until 10:00am or 11:00am when everyone was checking out, because they were finishing banging away by the time I checked out at 11:00am. The hotel staff was rude, actually the rudest most arrogant and unpleasant I have ever experienced. The breakfast was just a few cut up danishes in the hotel lobby, which again, stinks. The location may be good, but the staff and how they run their business is disgusting.

Overpriced: Cleaning OK-minus, fridge barely working, shampoo and soap are terrible. The breakfast that included in the price - is cup of semi-cold coffee and a small muffin.

Pros: Very close to the marina, awesome seafood restaurants, staff was courteous and helpful
Cons: Nothing
Location: Lots of nice local shops and restaurants
We had a wonderful time at Cabrillo Inn. The hotel staff was very nice and accommodated my picky family.

Expedia price vs managers price

Pros: Hotel is OK. Everything was clean and functional. Bar across the street is the best thing about the hotel.
Location: Bar across the street is great. Good food and good selection of beers.
Make sure you take your Expedia itinerary with you when you check in. Hotel "manager" disagreed with the quoted price and said he was going to charge more. He honored the price after a little negotiating. He then wanted to charge me additional taxes on the room. Further discussion erupted and he backed down.

Ok stay

Pros: The location it is close to Sea World.
Cons: The beds and bedding.
Location: Sea World, Midway, Little Italy and Gas Lamp are fairly close.
If you are not looking for comfort then this is the place. The room was clean except for a few cigarette burn marks in a non smoking room. The beds were too hard and uncomfortable. The staff was friendly. In the three night we stayed they never came in to make beds or service the room. There is construction going on next door so you can hear the noise beginning at 6 am.

Overpriced even with web discount

There was hole in one wall of room, the room phone was disconnected and the bathtub was clogged. Construction noise not hotel's fault, but disturbing. Our 13 year old daughter thought room was "fine." We thought the $100 left our hands too quickly for the overall experience.

It's a place to sleep

Pros: The location was perfect for my needs.
Cons: Security was marginal at best. Parking was underground and was very tight and only held about 20 cars.
Location: There are numerous bars and clubs, great seafood restaurants and the harbor is only a few blocks away.,
Check in was smooth. The room had a bit to be desired. While it had new flooring, there was no security chain, there were holes in the door where it was but it was not there. The room cleanliness was fair at best.,,there was a pair of ladies panties on one of the shelves along with other trash. Homeless people were hanging out in one of the outside lounge areas.
