It worked for our needs

Posted Feb 7, 2016
I didn't feel like this hotel was anything to rave about, but it had comfy beds and room for our family of six. The breakfast was about average. They needed a much bigger room for breakfast for the amount of guests there. The pool was not heated to being 80-84 degrees. We thought it was closer to 70-75. The front desk staff was great and allowed us to check in early because our room was available. I would stay here again (great price and comfy beds) but don't expect too much.

Good value and well located

Posted Feb 6, 2016
Pros: Location - close to shopping malls - old Town and freeways. Easy to find and get around.
Cons: We did struggle to understand the groups who were eating breakfast and then taking plates stacked with food for Africa. We all pay $$ in the end.
Location: Great location - walking distance to Old Town - short drive to Seaworld and the Zoo.
Our family of 5 stayed for 5 nights for our visit to San Diego. We had a family room with a separate sofa bed in an extra room off the main room - perfect for our two young men to share as it had a separate TV and lots of space for their gear. The hotel is ideally located just off a very accessible freeway but still very quiet. Facilities were great - pool and spa were used by our family. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was the best of our 3 weeks in the USA - plenty of choices with fresh fruit. We would recommend this hotel as incredibly good value for money for families.

Great Price for a Great Hotel Room!

Posted Feb 2, 2016
I had such a pleasant experience at this hotel and I WILL stay there again! I definitely recommend staying at this hotel! Compared to pricing for nearby hotels, this hotel is a great price. I didn't want to stay at a motel, but at the same time I didn't want to pay over $150 at a hotel (including tax and parking). This was the PERFECT match between the hotel room I wanted and pricing I was willing to pay. The hotel room was very spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast opened early and closed late, at 10 am, so I slept in and still ate breakfast. The food was delicious. Parking was easy and the cheapest among other nearby hotels. There were covered and uncovered parking spaces. Also, there was parking available on the street in case you don't want to pay for parking.

Posted Jan 30, 2016
Pros: the breakfast buffet
Cons: The ice cold hard boiled should be brought to up to room temp, especially on those days you only have gravy and biscuits the peanut butter was hard
Location: old town
We were minute from the Zoo, Midway and asian food

Good hotel in downtown San Diego

Posted Jan 28, 2016
Pros: Staff were friendly, breakfast was great.
Cons: Some shady characters around the area. Wish they didn't charge for parking.
Location: Plenty to do nearby: the beach, SeaWorld, Balboa Park, the zoo, etc.
Not a bad hotel and in a very convenient spot for visiting SeaWorld, the San Diego Zoo, and Mission Beach.

A Pleasant, Convenient Hotel

Posted Jan 19, 2016
Pros: The location is excellent. The included breakfast was feast with scrambled egg, sausage, waffles, hard boiled eggs, and anything else you might want.
Cons: The delicious breakfast did not have enough seating, during the Christmas holidays. families had to split up and strangers had to share tables.
Location: The location, in San Diego's Hotel Circle, couldn't be better, as long as you have a car. It is at the intersection of the 5 and 8 freeways.
Comfort Inn & Suites San Diego is located in San Diego's Hotel Circle which is near freeways leading to downtown, Balboa Park and the Zoo, Fashion Valley shops, and the Chargers' Qualcomm Stadium. There are a lot of restaurants (including a very good, not too expensive one adjoining) and other tourist necessities, but they might be difficult to reach without a car. The staff is very helpful and obliging. The rooms on the north side have a pleasant view of a wildlife preserve, but they bolt them shut. What a shame! Unfortuneatly, the walls and/or doors are thin, and you hear a lot of hall noise. Even during the busy Christmas holidays, there was enough parking.

Close to all the activities we enjoyed

Posted Jan 18, 2016
Pros: Great breakfast. Good location. Friendly and helpful staff
Cons: We parked on the street to avoid the $10.95 fee to park in the lot.
We had a group of 13 of us and we stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed an excellent breakfast each morning. We had clean rooms & fresh towels every day when we returned to the room for the evening. Some of us enjoyed the pool/hot tub but the weather was a little too cool for most of us 50-60 degrees the entire weekend. Overall, we would all definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again if the opportunity came up again.

Very functional for family in good midpoint locati

Posted Jan 15, 2016
We stayed in a king with bunk bed suite. It was modestly furnished but highly functional. The staff was courteous. The breakfast was ok, all my family loved the waffle making stations, but it was lacking in protein options. San Deigo is a busy place so we didn't spend much time at the hotel, but our time spent was functional and efficient
