Needs work

The reception and breakfast staff were fine. The shower dripped all night and then didn't work at all in the morning. There's nothing you can do about the noisy clientele, they are going to Sea World and are excited and don't think about others but the smell of marijuana from the homeless guy living just inside the security gate made me feel uncomfortable.

Staff was wonderful

Staff was wonderful but it was very loud. Could hear cars all night and could hear everything outside in the courtyard.

Horrible

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Our experience was horrible. Rooms were dirty and very very noisy. Area was not safe to walk around at all. Seemed to be a place for homeless people to hang out.

Not at all what the pictures show

The rooms were very dirty had to change rooms 3 times. I am talking dirty sheets and no toilet paper dirty bathrooms. It was very gross, we just ended up buying sheets and sleeping on top of those first spraying the bed with bug repellent. The pictures do not match what it looks like in person, it's in a bad neighborhood and there was local unattractive and disturbing traffic coming in and out. You have to walk across the street for the breakfast and I wouldn't even bother. One of the most positive parts was the staffs effort to make it as positive as they could. They were very understanding and helpful after I showed them the first room they tried to put us in.

Staff helpful and friendly. Otherwise pretty usual, which is fine. Handy amenities within walking distance and tons of choices within a 1-mile drive.

Staff was great but the room ......

Pros: Staffs and breakfast
Cons: Please fix the building, evaluator, pips, air-conditioners, bathroom door, ...etc.
By itemized, this inn was great. Our suit had refrigerator, microwave, two flat TVs, balcony, the breakfast (pancake, scrambled eggs, ..etc) were nice, and got a lot of TV channels too. However, the build was old. First, the bed lights were not working and the clock was not function too when we checked in. We called the front desk and a tech showed up in less than 30 minutes and got it fixed. Staffs were great. Then, found missing towels. Got delivered within 15 minutes. However, the air-conditioners were very dirty and dusty. The bathroom door was the worst. You had to force it to close so it made noises every time that was loud enough to wake the others up at night. Next day, no towel. Again, called the front desk and got delivered in 15 minutes. Too much fun.

What you paid is what you get

Terrific staff, polite and curtious. Problem is the a/c unit looked like it was falling apart, sheets had a lot of stains in it, and looked like the bed sheet was too small and they had to used two smaller sheets to overlap in order to cover the whole bed.

Good location. Restaurants near by.

Good location, restaurants near by. Room was what it said ,it was going to be. TV had descent channels to watch.

Nice location and cheap

Pros: Location
Cons: Room condition. There was a jack in the box burger box with rotting food under the nightstand. The room smelled like mildew.
Location: Sea World, Shopping centers, Belmont Park, Old Town, Mission San Diego
Staff and free breakfast nice. Location was perfect for Seaworld/Old Town/Beaches. Room was in major need of remodel. Drawers would not stay closed due to gravity, TV remote did not work unless used a foot from the TV.

close proximity to Sea World and Old Town. 15 min away from down town of San Diego and Coronado island
