Fills the bill

Pros: Location and price
This is pretty much a "bare bones" type facility. Was clean and very spacious, tho, the flooring was glue down boards and in many places the boards had separated from the underflooring. The breakfast could easily have more of a selection, but it was adequate. The sign in the breakfast room stating "no juice or food to be taken to rooms" was a bit unwelcoming -- I'd much rather sit in my room and enjoy a cup of coffee and pastry at my pace and leisure. All in all, this motel filled the bill and I expect to return.

Nice living room inside each room!

Pros: Spacious with living room, microwave and fridge. Hot tub nice too!
Cons: Perhaps upgrading mattresses would be good? Theirs were not comfortable at all. I've not experienced this before.
Location: The neighborhood was questionable but short drive to SeaWorld, Mission beach, and Seaport Village. We had no problems while there
It was great to have a living room with microwave and fridge. The room stunk of smoke, although a non-smoking room. Reception was great in providing a room deodorant, as there were no other rooms available. Nice continental breakfast, just odd that you cannot take back to your room (must eat there). Hot tub was great! The only disappointment was the comfort of beds. Not sure why, but I could not get a good night's sleep any night. My back hurt each morning. :(

Nice clean recently renovated hotel. Very quiet

The first room I had wasn't clean

But I went to the front desk cause the carpet was badly stained where my kids couldn't play. But they change me to a newly model room and we loved it. Wood floors, nice and spacious.

Bad place to stay under construction

I completely disliked my stay here over the course of 2 weeks , under construction , no wifi cracks in walls and ceilings , tv didn't work , no microwave . New room yet they hesitated to give me a room key do to not being able to find my booking , this was my very first vacation and I disliked it the whole stay I can't believe you would let people rent while under construction people making noise and waking me up , wouldn't recommend to anyone I know at all

good location

Pros: Location. And, the fact that the staff, reluctantly, found us the downstairs room we requested.
Cons: Start repairs to bath fixtures and floors and replace broken appliances or take them out.
Location: SDSU softball
We have stayed in La Mesa 3 times before. The location is good. the hotel is slowly declining and in need of repair. Hopefully they will replace the broken microwave and fix the bathtub that doesn't drain. Breakfast was disappointing. Including no decaf coffee.

Decent with living room and then bedroom

Overall good. Free basic breakfast. Facility was dated. Staff was helpful. Limited parking. Killed three bugs, one of which was in my bed. The room was otherwise clean and the bed was comfy but the bug in the bed and the roach in the bathroom skeeved me out. You get what you pay for I guess.

Tour at San Diego 2017

Pros: Nothing can attract me.
Cons: They should give proper information and pictures with real senario.
The hotel rug was very dirty. It seems that they bring it from the dustbin. Out side people are working dust are covering everywhere. The guy in hotel reception is very rude. I am wondering how this hotel is in expedia list. The internet was not working.

Very run down outside, not happy with experience.

I have previously stayed here and had no issues. It isn't great but is affordable and clean. Looks very run down outside and in parking lot. The laminate flooring in my room wasn't laid properly. I had a man knocking on my door at 11:15 pm asking questions I wasn't comfortable answering- if I was alone, if I'd go out with him, what was I doing in California etc. I promptly shut and locked my door and proceeded to call the front desk whom called the police. The following night I was getting calls to my room every 30 minutes to 1 hour after arriving back to my room. I did not answer the phone. I felt very unsafe. Checked out a day early and will not be returning.
