Decent but not great

My kids and I stayed here for 2 days while visiting Legoland. Distance to Legoland and the beach were definite pluses and it was among the most affordable in the area. The lady who checked us in was cheerful and friendly. While the layout was motel and the room had the moderately grungy carpet you tend to see in motels, the room had some upgrade features like crown molding, granite, fresh paint and decor that made it nicer. In room fridge (although it froze everything I put in there) and microwave were bonuses. Breakfast was touted as being a "full" breakfast but unless you only eat cereal for it was sparse and we had to grab food elsewhere. Now to the part that will make me never return, omg the noise. We were given a room away from the freeway and that was the only thing we didn't hear. The laundry, the ice machine, the kid screaming in the pool until 10pm, every flush and shower of adjacent neighbors, people coming in at midnight...I barely slept and the kids were tired and grumpy as heck. If that's what you get for $120 a night in the area I will pay more next time.
