Great Hotel in LA Jolla Village

Perfect in every way, this hotel is located in the center of La Jolla Village. It is within walking distance to the restaurants and beautiful shoreline. The staff is amazing and the rooms are clean and appropriately decorated. This hotel is a great value given its location.

Nice city hotel. Moderate sized rooms, pleasingly simple and soothing decor. Very helpful staff. Great location and an excellent value in expensive La Jolla. Basic but perfectly acceptable complimentary American continental breakfast served on covered patio. A refreshing relief from over-sized chain hotels. Would definitely stay here again. Only downside was no affordable options on room service menu, but there is a panoply of restaurant choices footsteps away from the hotel. You can park in the garage across the street during WEEKdays (6am - 8pm) for $12 but then need to find free street parking for the night (not a problem in November) or pay higher price for unlimited access valet parking with the hotel.

Perfect first time San Diego-La Jolla experience

My stay at Empress La Jolla was amazing. The rooms are beautiful and clean, and the entire hotel has a very relaxed vibe. Check in was a breeze and the reception staff are truly what set this hotel apart from others, they were so friendly and informative and provided the insider on where to go, what to see, what to eat! They even lent my party a beach umbrella when we mentioned we were heading to the beach. This was my first time in the San Diego area and it's now my favourite spot in California (been to LA, SF). Even though La Jolla has incredible hotels all around, I would truly come back and stay at the Empress because of the great experience I had there.

Pros: Ryan and Michael were very friendly and helpful! Both and the rest of the staff as well went above and beyond to answer questions and make our stay pleasant
Cons: I liked everything about this hotel, just wish i had one more night to visit the Italian restaurant in the hotel. Looked, and smelled wonderful
Location: Great restaurants and shopping, not to mention it is just a couple of blocks from La Jolla Cove! The sunsets were amazing!

Great value in heart of La Jolla Village

Location: Walk to seals, restaurants, shopping, and movies.
The AC in this hotel is awesome. Staff is universally friendly and professional. Room service is delicious (note- there are no room service breakfast options, but there is a standard continental). I have stayed here multiple times and am always impressed. Great for solo/business travelers, or anyone who wants to be close by the beach without paying exorbitant prices. The tablet system in the room is amazing, and they will allow late checkout if available. Rooms are modern and tastefully decorated.

Delightful experience.

Pros: Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of.
Cons: I could find no fault.
Location: Location was near the beach stores, restaurants. Couldn't be better.
Hotel is comfortable, upscale with every detail in place. The staff was gracious and helpful. Breakfast more than complete. Manhattan restaurant great. This was an A-1 experience.
