Clean and comfortable rooms

I called ahead of time to request a crib and was assured that I would have one waiting for me upon check-in. After arriving 6 hours late (at almost 1am), there wasn't a crib in the room and there weren't any available. The front desk staff was amazing at resolving the issue promptly the next morning (and they even comped my parking fees for the week), but that did little for us that night since the reason for me calling ahead was because my baby will only sleep soundly in a crib (and I would have rented one to be delivered) had the hotel indicated that this might be problematic. Still, though, great staff and remediation, but it's hard to use reason with a picky baby. My other gripe is that the room that I booked through Expedia was in a part of the hotel that required that you walk through the restaurant every time you left and returned to your room-- that was a bit awkward. Housekeeping was also unpredictable. We usually tip half about halfway through our stay with the other half coming at the end of the stay. We left half of the tip halfway through, and that's when we stopped getting clean towels, coffee, bags for ice, etc. It was really odd-- I can only imagine that the staff wasn't happy with the amount or that they thought since they'd already gotten a gratuity that they didn't have to work for it anymore? I don't know.
