reasonable value during high season

clean room, friendly staff bit motel like and paroling lot only, good location in close proximity to everything in particular marina activities

Worst place ever

The front desk Michael and another guy were trying to cheat us on our deposit. And we're horrible! The room yeah it looks nice but the showers were crap, the water pressure was horrible. There was no pressure at all I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, stay at a well known hotel that's better than this. Whoever was rating this place must be workers cause it was the worst experience ever.

Convenient, small hotel in Point Loma

Aqua Mar is ideally situated for business travelers and airline passengers needing a night or two in metro San Diego. The room was clean, efficient and fairly priced. Parking, a must in Pt. Loma, is on-site.

Nice for a quick stay

Pros: Affordable, Location, Free Wifi, New accomodations, Clean
Cons: More security added to doors for guests to feel safer especially since it is a motel and anyone can just
Location: Sunset Cliffs was a few minutes drive away and I stopped on the coast to snap a few photos
Needed a place to stay for a quick night in San Diego. This motel was cheap and on a main road only a short drive to the airport and downtown SD. The photos are accurate, new and updated appliances/decor. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for somewhere affordable, clean, and just a place to lay their head at night because they would be out and about all day. With the good being said, a big con for me since traveling by myself was lack of security, the hotel doors only had a small deadbolt that someone with card access would be able to open and become unlocked. If they could upgrade with any other type of extra lock on the doors, I would've felt more comfortable. Another con, was lack of parking, I came back from a concert late at night and all parking was taken and had to park on the side of the street which wasn't too big of a deal but somewhat inconvenient.

It was just ok

I am normally not picky at all when it comes to hotels. I stay in cheap places as long as they are clean and close to what I need. The hotel room (maybe others were larger) was very very small. The front door hit the bed, small. We booked a room with two queen beds and one of the beds sheets were dirty. I told the person at the front desk who was sympathetic but said the staff had left for the day and we would have to wait till the morning for new sheets. They did give us new sheets and towels. We stayed for five days. Everyday we would receive at least one towel that had grey or black markings (like a hand print) over the towel. Only two of the five days did we receive two wash clothes (for two people). They did give us plenty of hand towels though. I also noticed that our beds did not get new sheets everyday, they just simply made the bed. I know this because I have bright red hair and would find my hair in the bed from the day before. This hotel is a great if you are only planning to sleep and shower. It is not a place to hang out and relax for part of your day.

Small and Clean

Cons: Having someone there when guest come to check in. Run errands on your own time.

The room was very small. Staff to off and was not there when I came to check in. When call the number on the door. She claimed she was helping another guest. 5 minutes later she came driving up.

I was a little skeptical coming to this hotel during my trip only after reading the reviews after i purchased my room. This is a little hotel/ motel that seems to have been revamped. The rooms are as pictured, a little small though and the bathroom as well is as pictured. My only complaint during my trip was that I had to wait till the morning when the employees were back to ask for towels. We were only given one towel which was a huge inconvenience for me and my hubby meaning one of us, was going to use a wet towel. Regardless, this hotel is walking distance to pretty much everything and a block away from the harbor which is pretty nice! I would maybe stay here again for a super short trip.

budget hotel.....nice decor.....close to eating places. No 24hr front desk service.

Clean, Budget, a Walk to Airport!

Great location for hikers who want to stay by the airport, and access to public transportation to help assist in accessing the Areas. This small property is geared for singles or close couples (out of area) OR local families. No telephone in rooms, but (fast) food also available (immediate) area. Walk up the hill!
