Great location in La Jolla

Loved the Hotel, great accommodations and convenient location with restaurants literally in the parking lot. Be aware, the restaurant offerings are $$$$ but we enjoyed them and found Japengo to be a gem among favorites such as Fleming's and Truluck's. Drive to the Village was only a few minutes with more shopping and dining options. They do charge for parking ($25) as do most Hotels in this area. Room was clean, comfortable and the view was great!

Close to UCSD

The hotel has easy acces to UCSD and is right off I5 so it is easy to get to from the university and highway. If you need sundry items there is shopping within a ten minute drive. Typical city traffic in the area but the hotel is not hit with a noise barrage.

Pros: Nice showers Nice view Comfortable bed Pool, hot tub Great friendly staff Amenities Cons: Could not open my window, room felt stuffy even with AC on Room had interesting smell when I got there Could use better bed blankets and sheets There was no fridge in the room

Pros: Close to shopping, beach & entertainment. Best part are the restaurants just outside the Hotel.
Nice Hotel, Great restaurants just outside the hotel. They were doing construction (working on their bar area) and started a bit too early for vacationing.

Amazing stay. Good amenities, super nice staff, solid rooms, and great location. Literally no complaints. More enjoyable than many higher priced alternatives that we stayed at.

Pros: Location is great for La Jolla and my daughter lives in Pacific Beach but this hotel is more my style

Bad Mattresses

Pros: Convenient location.
Cons: New mattresses.
Location: Just a few minutes drive from the beach.
Our first room smelled so strongly of cleaning fluids, we requested a different one. Our new room seemed fine initially; unfortunately, the mattress was not very new. The mattress seemed fine at first, but after a while, I could feel the springs in my back, and a definitive dip in the center of the mattress. The following day, in response to my feedback, I was told that all of the mattresses were the same age. So, staff tried to accommodate by rotating the mattress, and placing a board underneath, but it didn't seem any different. We ended up switching rooms to what we thought was a more solid mattress, but it was just as bad as the first one. My back was so sore each day after our stay, I would definitely not stay here again.

Great accommodating hotel

Pros: The staff was fabulous!
Cons: Restaurants that allow dogs within the hotel.
Location: San Diego, the list of things to do is endless! The staff is very helpful with things to do and places to go with the dog.
We brought our dog and the hotel was so great dealing with her. We got a bed for her and the staff was always so gracious when I had her with me. It would be nice to have a place to eat there that allowed dogs, outside patio, but the room was great, staff fabulous, and can't wait to go back!
