The staff here rocksPosted Oct 8, 2015
I love this place. The grounds are beautiful. It was my birthday and they gave me free breakfast for 2 at their swankiest restaurant. It was delicious and I know food very well. Then, they were super cool about me waking up after checkout time:) Also, the valets and bell men were super high vibe and helpful. The bed is comfortable and the one king bed garden room is spacious and easy to get to. It was also secluded and had a huge front porch. The room was clean and the cleaning lady was so sweet. She actually cleaned my room one day while I napped. I swear had I let her tuck me in she would have been stoked. It didn't smell brand new. I burned some candles and then it became morecozy smelling. I would recommend this location to friends. It is the nicest hotel near Ocean Beach.

beautiful viewsPosted Sep 29, 2015
Pros: Lush tropical bayside location.
Cons: The rooms could use freshening up.
We had a suite with a small balcony overlooking the marina...beautiful. The hotel is very convenient to all the attractions of the beach areas. The openess of the hotel lobby reminded us of Hawaii. The grounds are lush and tropical. Delicious food at The Red Marlin. Einstein bagels, coffee, sandwiches and more was just below our 3rd story room...convenient. The safe in our room didn't work and our continental breakfast never appeared the first day we were there, however, we were given a complimentary breakfast the following day. The rooms are very nice but looking a little worn. They could use an update, but overall were very comfortable.

Ok for the price, but not a dollar morePosted Sep 28, 2015
I have stayed at this Hyatt several times now and each time it gets worse. This may have been my last stay. Carpet completely dirty your socks and feet will turn black if you take off your shoes. Front desk - there are some snooty people there who take their time to help you when they are just chit-chatting with co-workers

Great location beautiful grounds and great foodPosted Sep 21, 2015
Pros: The water slides the food and the comfortable beds and the view
Cons: The sofas in the suites look worn out and dated
Location: Beach within walking distance, biking, walking running path. Near Sea World
The Hyatt is a great place to stay for relaxation. The kids love the slides in the pool. The food at the Swim restaurant was outstanding. We ordered Chicken quesadillas and they were delicious. I would have given them a 5 but the suites need updating especially the pull out sofas. Otherwise this is a great place to stay. If heading to Sea World take the water taxi you will get the private entrance no waiting.

Great hotel, but showing it's age.Posted Sep 21, 2015
Cons: Restaurant was very expensive for the quality. Breakfast buffet was $25!
Great location, really nice grounds and pool area. Rooms in tower are great--very new. Bungalows are really cool, but old--popcorn ceilings, smell a little mouldy, etc. Overall, loved it!

Blown away!Posted Sep 20, 2015
Pros: Rooms were clean and plush. All of the staff from the front desk to the bellhops were fantastic. Our waiter Kenny W. at the Red Marlin rocked!!
Cons: The maid service lacked a slight bit. They forgot to leave some items that were running out and we had to call the front desk twice over two days.
Location: Mission Bay is perfect. Its close to the Zoo, Sea World, La Jolla, etc. Just a short drive away. We drove down to the Gaslamp area as well.
I took my sister who is going through chemo on a special trip. This could not have been a more perfect location. First off it is close to everthing! Second the view from our room was fabulous. We literally had a view of the pool, marina, ocean and sailboats and if you looked to the left you could see the city! I will definitly come back to this hotel with my husband on a future trip.

An Amazing Place to VacationPosted Sep 16, 2015
Cons: The hotel had chairs and boogie boards for us to use at the beach, really appreciated this. Would have been nice to be able to use a cooler.
Location: Location is perfect and nearby everything, you are a few minutes away from the beach, old town, Sea World, Zoo and downtown. We enjoyed all of these!
The bed was so comfy, we never sleep in at hotels but we were so comfortable we actually got rest! The view from the tower, east side, was so beautiful especially if you enjoy summer sunsets. The staff were so helpful and friendly they took very good care of us and assisted us with sight-seeing. We will definitely be back again. The pool was lovely, daily bike rental with stay, room cozy, staff at your service!
