Corner room with balcony

I was down in San Diego for a quick trip and decided to stay here by mistake.
1. As soon as I walked in, the front desk agent carried himself as if I were welcomed to a motel. Terse in his words. "Last name?" "You booked for Palomar or Salomar?" Well, I'm no front desk agent but it should be something along the lines of "Welcome, may I have your last name?" isn't it?
2. The bed is so uncomfortable and that's enough said. The hotel doesn't carry slippers so you need to walk around in your shoes unless you are comfortable walking barefoot on carpet that hasn't been washed since the opening of the hotel. The shower door is missing so all the water splashes the bathroom floor. Wasn't a big fan of a shower head full of residues and calcium buildup.
3. Late at night, I assume the hotel wants cut costs and keep as little employees as possible on the clock. A different agent who answered the phone, once again, was very unprofessional. I had requested an international plug, toothbrush/toothpaste, and q-tips (which he told me they do not carry, but I know they carried it because the bathroom was stocked with q-tips). Long story short, this hotel ranks below average for sure when it comes to customer service. When I asked them for the international plug, the guy was hinting for me to pick it up down at the lobby. So I asked him, "Are you telling me to come pick it up???" and he reluctantly told me he'll send someone.

To hear that you did not feel a warm Kimpton welcome to the hotel is definitely disappointing to us. We strive to provide excellent service levels and always want to always hit the mark on doing so!
We would sure like to work on turning your experience around and hope you'll give us a chance to do so and if we can chat further, that would be appreciated.
