"Nice surprise"
I was a little hesitant booking after doing some research however I went ahead and booked since they had waterslides for the kids. I was so pleasantly surprised. I can only rate the regency rooms which was so worth the extra money. I am not into continental breakfasts since that usually means super skimpy, however this hotel had a very nice spread. The appetizers in the late afternoon were also great. The swim bar was super reasonable and the location was great. The only thing I would improve is the parking rates. We ended up risking it and parked on the street. It turned out that the 2 parking tickets were half of what I would have paid for parking.

"Very nice and quiet hotel."
You definitely get more for what you pay for here. This is a very nice hotel for a very good price. The rooms were spacious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only things I wish were different are that it was pretty cold the night we stayed and the heater wasn't very strong. (The beds were very comfy and warm though.) The other thing is that when I submitted an order for breakfast roomservice, my order form was never taken from my door. Even with those two things, I would still come back for another stay. It was very clean, easy to get to, and had some very nice and helpful staff. Even the night-time security guard helped us out with where to eat late at night when most places were closed.

"Enjoyed our stay"
Loved the hotel and the style with the open shower. It's in a great location downtown near the Gaslamp District in SD within walking distance of numerous restaurants and bars. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and overall enjoyed our stay. Our blinds in the room were broken so we couldn't open them and the bed was not very comfortable (maybe a 6/10). These were the only drawbacks for me. I'd definitely stay there again.
