My son liked it, but...

Posted Apr 4, 2017
After 4 nights at another hotel, we moved to this one. This was a family suite with bunk beds. My son loved the bunk beds that were in a separate room. The room was clean, the shower valve was backwards which took some getting used to. They had 2 separate AC units, both would not function from the digital thermostat. Had to cycle through the settings to turn on. I also didn't like housekeeping opening the curtains and turning off the AC while we were away. This caused the room to heat up. Was not worth the premium to have bunk beds.

Good for the price but there are closer hotels. Small pool. Small bunks.

Hotel is nice but it's the little things like trash in the hallways, noise level. If you get a bunk bed suite be warned it's 100# limit and room is very small.

Close to seaworld and the park

Beds were nice. Staff was super friendly-especially the maintenance man that came to help my daughter turn the blow dryer on lol! Breakfast was good: waffles, bagels, eggs, sausage, cereal, etc plus and juice and coffee. Better than me having to cook or to stop on the way home. Would def stay here again.

Friendly hotel choice close to everything.

Posted Mar 27, 2017
Cons: I wasn't pleased that there was a daily parking fee that I was not aware of until we arrived.
Location: Nice access to Gordon Biersch Brewery and Mission Valley Cafe and other restaurants.
Pet friendly hotel close to things we wanted to see. The staff was friendly with good attitudes. We would go back to stay there again. They have a good hot breakfast every morning and good decaf coffee in a nice facility.

Terrible breakfast buffet

Posted Mar 27, 2017
Pros: The mattress was better than a lot of higher priced hotels I've stayed at.
Cons: Needs total renovation. Exterior looks cheap.
While I don't expect great food at a discount motel chain, the breakfast buffet is really quite awful. They serve the cheapest of the cheap pastries; of the two toasters, only one was working and poorly at that; the make-your-own waffles were mushy and tasteless and the "maple syrup" had never made the acquaintance of maple, ever. For such a high volume of traffic they need a much larger serving area. You practically got stampeded by people shuffling around, trying to get to the goods. And very noisy. Don't want to do this one again.

You get what you pay for.

Posted Mar 25, 2017
We reserved this hotel because the bunkbeds in the family suite looked like something our kids would enjoy and the price couldn't be beat. Turns out you get what you pay for. The front room with the bunk beds smelled like urine. The bathroom had hair in the shower. The sheets in the bedroom were stained with visibly large stains. Then, to top it off, there was a cockroach running up the wall on the morning we were getting ready to check out. The elevator felt like it was going to break down and the breakfast room was always a huge mess. Not impressed and would not stay here again.
