Great location

Posted Feb 8, 2016
Pros: Location
Cons: It's ready for some renos and more maintenance.
Location: Right across from the beach on Prospect Street. Lot's of funky shops and restaurants within walking distance.
Six night stay in La Jolla. Hotel is in a good location for walking around La Jolla, and the seaside. Self parking available a block away. We were in a "Vintage King" room. The entrance door needed some work (sticky, difficult to line up deadbolt). Carpet was due for a change. AC very noisy. At check-in they asked what type of paper we would like but only dropped one off 1 day out of 6. We happened to be staying there when the pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance which we didn't know when we made the reservation. The La Valencia is a bit of a historic landmark in La Jolla, and we've stayed there a few times over the years but I'll probably give somewhere else a try next trip.

Lovely hotel in the heart of La Jolla

Posted Feb 7, 2016
Pros: Best location in La Jolla, The Med restaurant was amazing, and the hotel staff excellent.
Cons: Rooms facing the courtyard on the lower levels can be noisy, with guests outside, and hotel staff. Can't really be improved. Just to know.
Location: Lots of nice shopping, and the Ocean!
Room was smallish, but decorated well and very comfortable. The hotel is very old, so one elevator on one side, and small halls, etc. Halls need a bit of maintenance (new paint, new carpet), but the room was lovely. The pool looked great, (too cold for my visit), and this is a great location to park your car and not leave for a weekend.

Old fashioned Hotel in Strandnähe

Posted Feb 3, 2016
Pros: Lage in La Jolla in Strandnähe
Cons: Zimmer unterhalb der Terrasse nicht anbieten.
Location: In La Jolla und in Strandnähe mit faszinierendem Sea Life.
Freundlicher Empfang. Zimmerkomfort enttäuschend. Zimmer lag unterhalb der Terrasse. Jeder Stuhl, Tisch der bewegt wurde verursachte störenden Lärm.

Excellent hotel. Excellent service. Loved it!

Posted Jan 14, 2016
Pros: Everything.
Cons: The Med, the large restaurant in the hotel was a disappointment. It was very nice, but the food wasn't what one expects from a place like this.
Location: Perfectly sited in La Jolla.
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very professional and there were plenty of them available at all times for any possible request. Beautiful room, well appointed.
