I had high hopes for Days Inn but I have to say I was very disappointed in my 5 day stay there.
While this location is inexpensive, it is in need of much renovation. The front door had water damage at the bottom, the bathroom faucet was very difficult to turn on, my boyfriend fixed the bathroom faucet (room 149) because it was wonky. The bathroom sink also needs to be snaked. Moreover, the bed squeaked because it is so old and when i sat on the end of it, I noticed one end was lower than the other.
All of that said, the thing that bothered me most was the loud construction noise in the room next door to mine. This started around 10:30 am and checkout time was noon. When I called the front desk to complain, I was told, "we cannot stop the renovation". Still Kimberly (the front desk person) asked them to stop and they immediately did so for exactly 30 minutes before starting up again.
As far as other noise, on 2 consecutive nights, someone was blasting his stereo and I also heard loud dog barking more than once.
Overall, I would say there were only two positive things about this place: 1) the continental breakfast (we made our own waffles and there were oranges, pastries and coffee otherwise). 2) Kimberly-- who is a newer front desk agent with excellent customer service skills.
I am the type of person who NEVER writes negative reviews but I really felt the need to do so in this case. They really need to be more aware of the customer's experience.
