Nice downtown area, but that's about it.Posted Oct 5, 2015
The location was good. Right in downtown and close to water, zoo and stadium. Staff was super friendly and they offered free breakfast. However, the photos made it look very nice and clean. It was old and a bit run down, impossible to park in the actual parking lot (had to park in the underground parking) the toilet made weird noises and the light in the bathroom kept flickering and turning off then back on. The bed was the worst bed I have ever slept on! Hard as a rock and you could feel the springs in your back. I normally do not do feedback and comments because I'm not to hard to please. But for paying $176 per night between room and parking, for what we got was not money well spent. I wouldn't want anyone else to pay that much to get a less than par room and quality.

Close to downtown activitiesPosted Oct 1, 2015
Hardwood floors in room a bit uneven so toes got stubbed once or twice. Cable knot working and shower was very small with a worn flooring inside. Room is OK if you are just passing through and looking for a bed, but very lacking in any amenities.

Schmutziges Hotel in guter LagePosted Sep 29, 2015
Zimmer haben einen kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellten Safe. Die Sauberkeit lässt deutlich zu Wünschen übrig. Hotel in zentraler Lage in San Diego. Parken kostet pro Nacht 16$ pro Fahrzeug.

Not great, but not bad either. Good service.Posted Sep 15, 2015
Pros: Service. Cleanliness. Breakfast. Italian restaurant across street.
Cons: Cable TV. Need refrig in rooms.
Location: Not much to do, but mini market and great Italian restaurant across street.
We could have used a refrig in our room, and our cable did not work well. Other than that, the room was perfectly adequate and clean. It was a bargain for the price we paid. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. It was nice to have a free breakfast, too. No eggs, but pancakes, waffles, bagels, fruit, and cereal were just fine. Our cable did not work well at all, even after they sent someone to fix it. Overall, I would say it was better than we expected.

Very disappointingPosted Sep 15, 2015
The hotel should not be called a hotel... It should be called a cheap dorm. I paid cash and the clerk refused to give me a receipt. The towels in the room were not too clean, the face towel was actually. The shower was mediocre but the water was not raining and so the bottom was filling up with water. Very disappointed overall and would actually like my money back.

Great downtown locationPosted Sep 11, 2015
My friend and I stayed at Red Roof Inn to attend the SD Quilt Show. The staff was great - very helpful. Love the "hardwood" floors. (Hate disgusting carpet, and there was none.) Very nice hotel, great price, great location. We would stay there again.

Not a bad choice, bring slippersPosted Sep 9, 2015
The staff was excellent and the room was comfy and a good size for the very affordable price. Also in a very convenient location. The downside was a very small selection for breakfast, pretty much hard boiled eggs and a variety of bread items, not many healthy options. But I didn't expect much for a free breakfast. Major downside was how filthy the floor was. Turned my feet black after just a walk to the restroom. Definitely bring your slippers/sandals. If they would mop the floor I wouldn't mind staying there again.
