Not up to par

On the second night of my stay, I was woken up by smoke - cigarette and otherwise - entering my room. It was making me very sick, this aside from the detail of expecting a smoke-free accommodation when I reserve one. I called down to the front desk at 3am to inform them and ask that they look into it. They promised to send up security to the adjoining room and to note my account. Moments later, my bills was slipped under my door.
I don't believe security came around because I heard no knock on any nearby doors. Next, I smelled the strong odor of perfume as though someone was trying to cover up the smoke.
The next morning, I went to the front desk to report it and ask if my account had been noted. It hadn't, and no report made. The attendant offered to reduce my parking charge. This charge is made by the parking company and so doesn't actually hit the hotel at all. They ultimately took no responsibility for my smoky room. Important to note that they do affirm that their property is smoke-free. It is not, and complaints are not evidently not supported.

Thank you for your feedback. Our hotel is a smoke free facility which is posted on confirmations as well as in the rooms themselves. I apologize you felt that our response was not sufficient, but I assure you that we respond and take these types of issues very seriously. Hopefully you will see that this was an isolated incident and feel comfortable coming back, we would be happy to welcome you.
