Pros: Staff were very hospitable.
Cons: Room layout was cramped. Patio area was dirty. TV reception was horrible.
Location: Many shops and restaurants nearby which was a plus.
Room needs an upgrade. Unfortunately as a frequent visitor to SD (four times a year) I will have to spend my money elsewhere.

The hotel is nice overall. The bathrooms could use updating. The bathroom sink faucet leaked and the knob on the tub faucet only allowed about half the water to come out of the shower head, the rest came out the faucet. Central location is great, close to shopping, dining, etc.

All hotel staff were very nice, very helpful and accommodating. However the condition of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. I went the whole 3 days with no heat. They did bring me a space heater but never fixed the heat. Also my sister's room had rust in the bottom of her tub/shower. They need to do a lot of renovating to bring this facility up to a 3 star hotel.

Thank you for staying with us at the Sheraton and for sharing your experience. Please forgive us for the issue you experienced with the heating system. Unfortunately, we needed to order parts from our vendor and it took several days before the parts arrived. Our bathtubs are routinely refinished and we have scheduled your sisters room to be completed. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We hope you will give us another opportunity to serve you next time you are in the area.

There for business trip. Staff were pleasant to deal with and room was clean and no nice. My only complaint is that the windows were so dirty I could barely see through them, however, I realize SD has had a lot of rain recently.

Thank you so much for staying with us in Mission Valley and for sharing your experience. Please accept our apology for the window cleanliness. The area has had several weeks of continuous rain and we have had to push back our window cleaning due to the rain. We appreciate your understanding with this and hope to see you again soon!

Sheraton should be ashamed of having such a hotel. As soon as we entered the room my child found an underware in one of the drawers! We called the front desk and they came and apologized and said "it is an odd incident". We were thinking that could be just an accident, perhaps the cleaning lady has forgot to check the drawers but we didn't know what is expecting us in the next several hours of our stay in this hotel. We had purchased some milk for our child and put it in the fridge overnight. In the morning we noticed the fridge was not working at all and we had to throw out the milk! Each time we had to purchase a very small bottle of milk from the hotel itself and it cost 4$. Later, the door of a cabinet in the room just fell off. I took a shower and noticed the bathtub is not draining. My wife called and asked to talk to the manager about all these problems. She was very rude and not even apologized. She said we give you another room, not even upgraded! My recommendation: there are many hotels nearby. Just pick something else.

Thank you for staying with us at the Sheraton. Please forgive us for the issues you found during your arrival. This is not customary at our property and the associates/supervisor responsible has been disciplined for their actions. The refrigerator has been replaced the cabinet has been repaired since your departure. We have also spoke with the associate/supervisor and reviewed your comments/experience. We would never want any of our guests to depart displeased with their visit to the area and we hope that you will understand that this was not common at our property. Thank you again for staying with us at the Sheraton.

Not up to Sheraton standards

Pros: Although the hotel is located in a weird area consisting of car dealerships and a Planned Parenthood, it was very close to everything we wanted to do.
Cons: A bit of everything.
Location: There is nothing in the immediate area, but great freeway access and only minutes away from the Zoo, Downtown and other areas.
The bathroom door was a sliding door that took so much effort to open and close it that I had to use my entire body weight, and even then couldn’t get it to close entirely. My four year old was unable to close or open the door at all. There were handicap rails in the tub, but the floor was uneven, so when stepping out of the tub both my husband and myself slipped and almost fell the first time. The window was dirty, but it was a tenth floor room so I understand that. Our view was of a pretty hillside and a drained pool, as well as a parking space that was for some reason filled with trash. The trash remained in the parking spot all three days we stayed. The bed was fine, however the bedding had some hard spots in it that made us wonder what it was filled with. It was probably just so old it had clumped together but it felt disgusting. We had a wine glass in our room that I used the first night. Housekeeping came the next morning, but did not replace the wine glass and left the dirty one, so I now question if it was clean to begin with. Although we had three people registered to the room, they left washcloths and full size towels for two both nights. When we got home I realized that Expedia’s website said the self-parking fee was $16 per night but we were charged $18. The woman at check out was rude and didn't acknowledge us for over a minute while staring at her computer and muttering "stupid, what is going on" etc. She never asked how our stay was.

Thank you for staying with us at the Sheraton in Mission Valley! Please accept our sincere apology for the issues you experienced with your stay. The sliding door had appeared to have come off its tracks and has since been repaired. We were performing a pool repair during your stay and the debris was from the plaster that had to be discarded separate from our normal items. Our parking rates were updated on Expedia for 2017 to $18 per night as of January 1st. We have followed up with our front desk team as well and disciplined the associate with whom you spoke with. Her interaction with you is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.

Nice place. Should be even better come summer when the pool remodel is finished. Charges for parking is irritating, but seems to be common in San Diego...

Called ahead to make sure pool was heated , to make sure kids could go for a swim, they confirmed and said it was open until 10pm. Forgot to mention until after I checked in , no water in pool. Had us in a room between a huge party , , people kept walking into our room calling it and banging on our door all night, we have three small kids trying to sleep, worst hotel ever

Thank you for staying with us in Mission Valley and sharing your experience. Please forgive us for the misinformation on our side - the pool was taken out of service for emergency repairs. We do have security on staff throughout the day and night. Please accept our sincerest apology for our guests who were behaving inappropriately. This property does not permit parties and had we known of this issue we would have taken corrective action. Thank you for bringing this information to our attention - we hope you have a safe holiday season.
