Very nice rooms, clean.Posted Oct 4, 2015
Stayed at hotel because of a wedding. Loved the decor, pool was great with big, fluffy, striped towels. Service at bar and restaurant was SLOW! Hope you're not in a hurry. Bartender didn't seem to know what he was doing. Too bad, food was reasonably good. Beautiful venue for the wedding.

Unique and fun!Posted Sep 30, 2015
Built in 1946, they have done an excellent job preserving the motif! Definitely a great choice if you're looking for a hotel that isn't your ordinary Holiday Inn Express. The courtyard & pool area alone make this place part of your vacation, not just a place to sleep & put your stuff! Easy access to downtown & beaches via 163 or I-8. When I return to San Diego, there's only one place I'll stay, and this is it! Fantastic!

Sympathisches Hotel zentral gelegenPosted Sep 28, 2015
Pros: Hotelausstattung, Personal

Posted Sep 22, 2015
Cons: pulizia, odore, servizio, comunicazione

Surprisingly great stay in San DiegoPosted Sep 19, 2015
Pros: Very great location. The room was attractively furnished. Great desk, great coffee machine, which is all a business trip really requires.
Cons: This really was a great stay for a business trip. Had no complaints or suggestions.
Location: The hotel is near a lot of interesting shops and restaurants. Short drive and your in downtown and Balboa park.
Business trip to San Diego for a convention center real estate show. The hotel is an older one, but in very, very good condition. I'm writing this from a Marriott Courtyard hotel in Phoenix, which is typical of a business class hotel. The Lafayette had significantly greater charm and the room was must more pleasant. They even included a Keurig coffee maker. No refrigerator, which the Courtyard has, and no microwave, but Sprouts was just 2 blocks away. Easy access to downtown San Diego and the convention center. Took Park Blvd. from the hotel, easy and interesting trip. Within a few minutes drive you have all the interesting spots and you're close to the bay/ocean. Would gladly stay at the Lafayette again. And for motorcyclists, there's an independent repair shop across the street.

Very comfortablePosted Sep 18, 2015
I felt like I am home, it was a beautiful bungalow 3 bed and 2 bath, very nice and spacious. Stand alone building with its own garage. It was really a pleasant stay that my family enjoyed very much. In the mean time the staff was very nice and gave us a very special pricing and treatment.

What a hidden treasure far better then any 3 starPosted Sep 13, 2015
This hotel is far better than any 3-star hotel I've ever stayed in. It's a classic and a historical site I would strongly recommend the anyone that wants to stay close to downtown but not in the downtown stay at the Lafayette. Everything was superb including the room, the food, and the customer service
