Noisy. Showing wear & tear. Had to ask to move rooms due to an noise outside of our window that went off every 1-2 minutes. The staff didn't offer to facilitate the move. In fact, told us to go to the front desk for the keys to the new room. In the new room, the alarm went off in the middle of the night. Upon checkout, I had already signed the bill, then was told the $40 charge to park my car hadn't been added. Had to wait for new charges, bill etc.
I am moving to downtown San Diego and have wanted hotels to recommend to friends and family that come to visit. Not only will I NOT recommend, I will advise AGAINST the Westgate.
