Exquisite decor!

Overall my experience was pretty amazing. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The lobby was one of my favorite places to be. Love the big chandlers! It takes me back to times. Very classy and sophisticated. I was lucky to be on the 18 floor with spectacular views. The bed was beyond comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel. I will definitely come back.

Great room

Great location!

On spring break with my son. Hotel was in a great location. We had a really nice time and everything about the hotel and room were perfect. He loved swimming in the pool after a long day. Thank you!

Excellent customer services. All the workers in the lobby greeted me even the ones were a little busy. Location is good at gaslsmp district. Price is very reasonable compared to the nearby one. Room is good size with antique feeling.

Very disappointed

Noisy. Showing wear & tear. Had to ask to move rooms due to an noise outside of our window that went off every 1-2 minutes. The staff didn't offer to facilitate the move. In fact, told us to go to the front desk for the keys to the new room. In the new room, the alarm went off in the middle of the night. Upon checkout, I had already signed the bill, then was told the $40 charge to park my car hadn't been added. Had to wait for new charges, bill etc. I am moving to downtown San Diego and have wanted hotels to recommend to friends and family that come to visit. Not only will I NOT recommend, I will advise AGAINST the Westgate.

Lost its charm

Pros: The staff is friendly and helpful. Honestly, it's the staff that had us return even after our last visit wasn't as comfortable as we'd like.
Cons: New mattresses, please!!!! Also, our room didn't feel clean but we attribute it more to stains and such than actual cleanliness.
We have stayed in this hotel 3 times now but this will definitely be our last. The hotel staff is always great and the location can't be beat, but it's just not up to our standards anymore. Sadly, because this wasn't the fault of the hotel, it was so noisy from construction on the adjacent street ALL NIGHT LONG, that we didn't sleep well, and the worn out mattress with very little support did not help.
