This hotel was basically clean and tidy in the room but the facility is generally run down & in poor condition. The walkways smell faintly of urine and paint, drywall etc is cracked, chipped and in need of service

quiet!
The picture is a fooler! It is a nice small pool and kept very clean. Very Reasonable. Bed was good.No breakfast but Norms was across the street with great food and service. Parking was free. Found a fabulous bakery 1/2 block away. It was on an easy road to be able to get where ever we wanted. Traffic was horrible and rude drivers honking all the time.I would stay there again.

Dated and rundown.
I was afraid to use the glass top burners for fear they would shatter on me. The counter tops were cut, split and coming apart. The sink looks like it was just dumped in there with nothing to actually hold it in or make it stop moving. The a/c unit while kept the room a semi comfortable temperature had to be on FULL BLAST at MAX POWER in order for it to cool the room thus making it very difficult to have phone conversations. By the time my stay ended of 3 days - the bathroom vanity light had burnt out, the grout around the bathtub had come out in several places and the dog across the hall from me, even after complaining several times, was still out there barking its little annoying bark for hours and hours.

Everything was nice, big room, with kitchenette, the only thing i had a problem was the sheets had numerous stains on them, and the people next door were smoking marijuana, not very good especially when children are around! Besides that everything else was great!

Very spacious with small kitchen area. Has all amenities for a measly $100 nightly rate. Except for nonsmoking room which smelled like it was previously a smoking room.

We stayed there over the Christmas holidays when we were in LA for the Rose Bowl. The hotel was easy to find, inexpensive, and clean quiet and safe. Exactly what I was looking for. Staff was efficient and pleasant. Facilities worked as expected. The rooms we stayed in had kitchenettes. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised given some of the negative reviews. The neighborhood is fine - not a "gang 'hood" as someone said. It's just a working class neighborhood. We didn't notice any road noise at all, like one review claimed. Easy access to I-405 and route 170. Close to grocery stores, Walgreens and other places to eat. Right across the street from an interesting little Russian food market.

For the same price, I probably would have been better at the Motel 6 down the street. I think people live here. Although I wasn't too worried about my safety, I must admit I felt a little uncomfortable. Also my room smelled like an ashtray.

okay where do I start first off I had a miscommunication with my family that's the reason I ended up at this motel ..this is not a hotel ...the biggest thing I had a problem with .. I went to use the restroom and there was previous bowel movement on the roll of tissue!!!! Also the air conditioner did not work ...I will not go on ..I will just say I would rather sleep in my car before staying at this motel again... The staff was really nice though...

Close to attractions, far from hustle & bustle
This property is pretty close to Universal Studios and Hollywood. It's far enough from the hustle & bustle to make it a good choice. There's a restaurant across the street, and groceries & other shopping in walking distance. I would stay there again!

NEVER AGAIN.
The carpet was full of stain and the room smelled really very bad. I couldn't stand the smell in the room. I considered even moving to some other hotel despite I have already prepaid. I DO NOT reccomend this hotel, I would prefer to pay double price for just normal hotel. I really don't require perfect conditions, but this time it was unacceptable.

Carpet was gross enough I elected to wear sandals while in the room. Bathroom was decent, but had toothpaste crust on countertop and no shampoo or conditioner, etc. was provided (only a bar of soap). My particular room had an extremely bright parking lot light attached to the wall outside my window which the blinds could not block out. It was budget priced but when you are afraid to put your feet on the floor you are basically camping.

From all the reviews here I was expecting almost anything, but I was really surprised, how great service I got for my money. I arrived at night, check-in was quick and the clerk was kind. Next day, I went to get the WiFi password and some info about the neighborhood, there was another guy in the office, but also very helpful and kind. The room was clean, I was surprised by the small kitchen - I completely forgot about it, the bathroom was also clean. Lot of people here complain about roaches and other bugs in the room, I found one or two, I think they get in through the aircondition, but it's not a big deal, I saw this in more expensive hotels too. Also, the room keys are bit of a mystery, somehow they stop working when you carry them among with other credit cards or near a cellphone. I had to get it fixed about three times before I realized it. So carry them separately and you'll be fine. Lot of people also complain about the room service here, I can't say a bad word about it, I got fresh towels every day, even when I put the "room service" tag on the door in late afternoon, that was quite a surprise for me. The neighborhood may not be a place for familly with kinds, but for someone who's looking only for a place to sleep it's great. It's quite close to many attractions you can see in LA, there are some fast-food restaurants nearby, even a supermarket and a pharmacy. Parking is in the back of the hotel, so those who are renting a car, you don't have to park on the street.

A Good Business Hotel
The Studio 6 in Van Nuys, CA is a pleasant extended stay hotel in a busy city setting. The area is a bit questionable, but I felt secure in the hotel. It was a bit hard ti find because it blends into the surrounding buildings. Parking in front is limited to check in only and parking in the back was a bit crowded, but I found a space without problem. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean, secure and well kept. I will go back.

The room was smaller than it appeared to be on the virtual website. It was also not as new or as updated as it looked on their site. The keys were hard to use, we had to get new ones almost every night. But the staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was very clean and well maintained, however it was not heated and it was very cold! The bed was very comfortable. The neighborhood was a little run down but I walked every morning we were there and people were friendly. There was a grocery store just a few minutes walk from the hotel and a diner that was always open just across the street. I even walked to a K-Mart in a little less than 10 minutes. We were visiting family so we were only there at night, but it was good for what we needed.

Great value!
Centrally located and a great value for the money! I loved having a kitchen and the room was much larger than I expected and the mattress on my bed was very comfortable. I will definitely stay there again!

just needed a place to sleep for the night after our family vac and wasn't trying to spend to much found this one on hotels.com and was pleased staff was nice got a decent room had pool but closed at sun down and asked for non smoking and still smelled like smoke but other then that i was please with the overall stay on busy street but very close to alot of stores and resturants ralphs 99cent store dollar tree blockbuster denny's mcdanolds and so much more i will stay there again

We didn't really like this place. We couldn't check in early so we ended up sleeping in our cars for 4 hours. On the last day, the housekeeping lady woke us up at 9 in the morning when check out is at 12.

Eu costumava ficar nesse hotel em 2011 e sempre gostei. Já passei 2 meses vivendo neste hotel, pelo fato de ter cozinha era um conforto a mais. Depois de 3 anos voltei para o mesmo hotel e infelizmente não gostei. O quarto estava absurdamente sujo e fedendo. Banheiro sujo e cheio de pêlos, cozinha toda engordurada, louça toda suja (tive que lavar tudo antes de usar), os móveis todos depredados, tudo caindo aos pedaços. A cama era king, porém os lençóis eram de cama queen, ficavam pequenos demais na cama dificultando o conforto para dormir. A área comum estava toda suja, cheia de bitucas de cigarro no chão. Infelizmente o hotel se transformou num pardieiro, nunca mais ficarei aqui novamente.
