Stay away

Posted Nov 17, 2017
Pros: Not much.
Cons: Fix your toilet seats, get better pillows, sound proof your windows, better breakfast stuff.
Location: Good location.
The room was so small you could not move, horrible pillows, bathroom with broken toilet seat and toilet paper so far from toilet paper you had to get up to get it. Noisey, dirty, uncomfortable. It was cheap but that's why.

Classic Boutique hotel

Posted Nov 13, 2017
Pros: Convenient
Cons: The elevator needs and inspection
Location: Few blocks from cable car. Easy to hop on public transportation and see the sights
Hotel was convenient and close to cable car. Small but what we expected. Classic old Boutique hotel, had everything we needed and expected.

Dear Guest, We were delighted that you enjoyed the charm that our hotel has. It really is a great base for exploring the city, and we were so happy that this added to your stay. Unfortunately, like our hotel, the elevator is also of a certain age, and whilst dependable, can be slow at certain times of the day, when many people are trying to use it. It is however, regularly serviced to the full safety standards, as we value guest safety, as a top priority at the Adante. We look forward to your next visit with us. Thank you for sharing. Best wishes, Hotel Management.

Liked the hotel, the breakfast was pretty good and the room size was good. Unfortunately the area is full of homeless. Will stay here again for the price.staff really friendly. Needs new pillows but the bed was comfortable. Lobby area was really nice .

Dear Guest, As you are no doubt aware, San Francisco has a homelessness issue, which is visible in most parts of the city, as well as this area. We are glad to see that this will not deter you from staying with us again. Thank you for sharing your review. We were delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us so much and we look forward to welcoming you back. Best wishes, Hotel Management.

Nice hotel close to financial district

Posted Nov 7, 2017
Pros: I loved the boutique feel of the hotel. The bed was nice.
Cons: They definitely need to add air conditioning. Don't have all the breakfast food delivered and sitting in the tiny hallway in the morning.
Location: The location is great. Close to shopping and Grace Cathedral and the old railroad mansions. Lots of great bars and restaurants.
The hotel is small but nicely cared for. The neighborhood looks a bit rough but after spending days in the city and traveling throughout it, the neighborhood is actually pretty decent. The hotel location is actually very close to the financial/shopping district and within walking distance to many attractions and several amazing bars. The room was on the top floor, king size bed. Nice room, very small but clean. Old carpeting, tiny bathroom and a window with no screen. The weather was great while we were there but with no air conditioning the room was a bit hotter than I can tolerate. My makeup actually melted while sitting on the counter, out of the sunlight... the window opens but no real airflow was happening. There is a ceiling fan that moved the hot air around. The bed was quite comfortable. The hotel is very old so the rooms are not really quiet. We could hear most noise in the hallway and a lot of noise from the street (not a big deal, we expected it since we were in the city). The staff was pleasant. The breakfast area is tiny but we didn't bother since there were several good breakfast spots close by and a Starbucks 2 blocks down. Overall, I would stay again in a pinch. I would definitely stay again if they added air conditioning to the accommodations.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review. Your comments will really help future potential guests. We were delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us, and that our location suited your needs so well. We do occupy an older building, but this is part of our charm, and although it presents some challenges, our staff work tirelessly to keep the hotel in the best condition and standards for our guests. Unfortunately, air conditioning is not a facility that we have at the Adante, and during very warm periods, we appreciate that the ceiling fans do not offer much comfort. We are sorry that this caused you a problem, during your stay with us. Thank you for your suggestion concerning our breakfast delivery, we will definitely take it on board, and improvements will be made as a result. We would love to be your host again, when you are next visiting this great city. Thank you again for your review. We really appreciate your business and your comments. Best wishes, Hotel Management.

Reasonable price for the area

Posted Oct 30, 2017
Location: The location is within a reasonable walk for the main BART station and line which runs right to the airport.
This hotel was significantly cheaper than other area hotels. It was a little further out of the main bustle of the area. Please note that the hotel does not have air conditioning, as it is an older hotel. There is an overhead fan in the room and the windows do open. So, just give it some time to cool off a bit.

Good location for Union Square

Posted Oct 25, 2017
Pros: Its central location.
Cons: Whilst reception was modern and bright, the general corridors etc were a bit tired looking, could do with a general brightening up.
Location: Union Square a good central location to access restaurants and bars. Buses to Fisherman's Wharf and other tourist attractions right there.
Very convenient for Union Square, buses, restaurants and bars etc. A good central location near all the tourist attractions. The room was comfortable and the shower hot. The breakfast provided was adequate. We had done research prior to booking and knew what to expect and we were satisfied with everything. We would stay here again.

Pros: Walking distance to other hotels
Cons: It is what it is.
It is relatively close to other hotels and restaurants, but aesthetically the hotel and the neighborhood are lacking. I understand San Francisco is very expensive being from NYC, but I don't feel it was worth what I paid.

Pros: Breakfast was simple and good always topped up.
NIce room, Large and spacious, only down fall was we were on the 7th floor, it was so hot and they only had a ceiling fan, NO AIR CON. Its near the tenderloin area, which is the homeless area. Its a bit of an eye opener.
