Suitable for people that need to sleep near an airport for late or early flights and people who don’t have too much luggage. We had an 11 am flight but wanted a hotel close to the airport so we could sleep in late, grab a quick bite and then go to the airport. The hotel is modern but is misdesigned. We had heavy luggage, and they gave us a room far from the lobby. I am not making this up, but it took us 7-10 mins to our room. Also, the hallway smells like marijuana. I know it’s legal in California, but not something I wanted to smell. The sound levels of jet planes taking off every 5 mins were insane. It was loud, and we could feel the vibrations in the room all night. The worst part was the attitude at the reception. It felt like they didn’t care. The room was charming in ambiance, and the shower was fantastic. Breakfast was ok. It’s a grab-and-go breakfast—an excellent hotel for quick transit. Have a free airport shuttle, but the shuttle driver doesn’t help you with luggage. 3/5 (Rooms) 0/5 service. 5/5 for proximity to the airport.

Good hotel to stay in when you have a long layover in SFO. The staff were friendly and the room is spacious. There are eateries within walking distance from the hotel.

This was a quirky property but it is clean and well-kept. It was my first time staying at an Aloft and it won't be my last. great atmosphere if you're into their quirks, like their decor. Great customer service and reasonable price. Also it's right next to the airport. 4 mins away to be exact. you can literally watch airlines take off and land from your window but now suffer from any noise that you would expect from being so close to an airport.

This was the best hotel I've discovered in many recent hotel stays. It is beautifully located across from the bay, amidst great restaurants very close by. Tastefully redone, new, super clean, excellent staff and beautiful rooms!! Super comfy beds, easy parking! And all for much less than the average &175 I am used to paying. Highly recommend to all!
