A nice spot to shoot photo, this angle was very popular everyone seems to enjoy coming back to hang out and to photographing Visiting San Francisco and the first evening he brought me to this spot so I can crossed off my bucket list. #colorful #sunset #travel #waterlust #landscape #nature #beach #beachlife #longexposure #NikonD7100 #Manfratto tripod Golden Gate Bridge from Baker Beach. Springtime @ Japanese botanical gardens in San Francisco...
#SpringFun Near the Cliff House and the ruins of the Sutro Baths are a grouping of exposed rocks called Seal Rocks because of two species of pinnapeds that hauled out on to them. Nowadays, two forces of nature are in a dead heat for the fate of these rocks. Will the ocean's tide erode them away faster than the flocks of seabirds can build them build them back up with excrement? This is a photo of the California coastline. I believe in the upper right of this picture is what remains of the Sutro Baths. Built in 1896. I think it was privately held saltwater baths. It burned down in 1966 and is in ruins. I can't recommend the Lands End and Point Lobos area of this state enough. It is truly beautiful. The oldest public Japanese garden in the United States, located in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. #green Man made maze at land's end. I was able to take public transportation out to Baker Beach, which was deserted, and get some great shots of the bridge. I'm not sure if the beach was empty because the weather was a little overcast, or because most people go to South Vista Point. FYI, Baker Beach is apparently a nude beach, but don't let that stop you from getting some great photos! ;) Just a fantastic bridge. Standing knee deep in the frigid waters of the bay allowed for this shot of the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance. The fog was very heavy during our visit to San Francisco, but it made for a dramatic view of its famed bridge. The ocean crashing along the rocks only added to the drama of this photograph. What you can't see was how strong the winds were-I was almost blown off my feet! #beach #architecture #roadtrip #waterlust #beachbound #takeahike Baker beach is a really cool spot to get great views of the golden gate bridge in San Francisco! It's not too crowded if you go early in the morning. A quartet of cairns along the shoreline offering some peaceful views out into the ocean and looking the other direction, if the fog permits of the Golden Gate bridge. #Red travel discoveries... Japanese Tea Garden San Francisco, CA #waterlust #blue #beachbound #AquaTrove Watching the waves crash on Baker Beach, on the ocean side of the Golden Gate Bridge. I've never seen the ocean so wild in such a populated area.
Epic #Roadtrip Photos
#california #sanfrancisco Land's End is definitely worth the short hike...an oasis away from the city and the busier beaches near the Cliff House. Come to the #beach at Land's End for some peace and quiet contemplation, a picnic or just to watch the fog roll in... Part of the Golden Gate #NationalPark My friends and I exploring the caves of the Land's End in San Francisco. Get your Zen on with some finger sandwiches and tea, a delightful little snack by the coy pond in these peaceful gardens! Gorgeous gem in #SanFrancisco. It's the first Japanese garden that was opened to the public in the US, and the place where #fortunecookies were introduced in our country. These were originally savory but then reinvented as sweet to appeal to the American palate. #garden #walking Great view of the Golden Gate Bridge on all the trials around Lands End Park with some great wild life if you're lucky enough to catch them! #GoldenGateBridge #SanFrancisco High on the headlands above the Golden Gate—where the Pacific Ocean spills into San Francisco Bay—stands the California Palace of the Legion of Honor, the gift of Alma de Bretteville Spreckels to the city of San Francisco. Located in Lincoln Park, this unique art museum is one of the great treasures in a city that boasts many riches. The museum’s spectacular setting is made even more dramatic by the imposing French neoclassical building.
I took a picture of the Ornate ceiling fretwork.
#localgem View of Golden Gate Bridge from Baker Beach in San Francisco, CA. I lived in the SF Bay Area for 5 years and always thought this was one of the most beautiful places to view the bridge.
#California #SanFrancisco #photography #GoldenGateBridge Bakes beach . An odd piece of urban decay along the otherwise natural park setting. Hunks of colorfully grafitti laden concrete with metal plumbing running through them and pieces of ceramic tile flooring...what must have been some sort of public restroom facility. The cherry blossom season in San Francisco Botanical gardens is pretty amazing, and made a great backdrop for making this very ordinary animal's portrait into something else... :) The sunset at Lands End in San Francisco is breathtaking - bring some take away and sit down and enjoy. It's healthy for your soul.
Take the Muni bus 18 or 38 from downtown.
#goldenhour The Labyrinth maze and have solved it. A sandy staircase descending to the #beach along the Lands End/Coastal trail amongst the gnarled cypress trees. My favorite discovery in San Francisco: the Labyrinth in Lands End. #WinterWonders Very zen like, love this garden During the summer time, just be aware, there will be some nude people hanging out in this area, but the view of the bridge and the water is amazing! Trees grow however they want in San Fran! One of the red-eared sliders (Trachemys scripta elegans) living in the pond inside the Conservatory of Flowers. Go fish... #goldengatebridge #scenicview #roadtrip #offthebeatenpath #luxury #californiadreaming #waterlust The lovely sunset we caught while walking on the Sutros Bath in San Francisco Beautiful garden to walk around n relax The Golden Gate Bridge from the beach area. Nude spot here around this area. The color of the Golden Gate Bridge, International Orange, was developed specifically for the bridge. The terra cotta-ish color was meant to contrast with the Marin headlands, the water and sky. #Red travel discoveries... Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco, CA All that remains of what opened in 1896 as the world's largest indoor swimming pool establishment, the Sutro Baths. At one time there were six salt water pools with nearly 2 million gallons of water filled at high tide by the ocean and at low tide by a massive turbine water pump. The facilities also held a museum, an amphitheater, over 500 private dressing rooms...oh, and an ice rink. A tiny snail, smaller than a penny, making its home in one of the humid, tropical rooms of the Conservatory of Flowers. Built in 1878, the Conservatory of flowers is the oldest building in Golden Gate Park. It was one of the first municipal conservatories and is the oldest municipal wooden conservatory remaining in the United States. An amazing display of some of the flowers at the conservatory. Those creations left me feeling more humble and praising the creations of God in the most sophisticated, amazingly harmonious, and gentle beauty.
#Colorful Coast Line near Lands End, This Old Man got lost and had quite an adventure. Water beauty The view looking over the ruins of the Sutro Baths and out into the Pacific Ocean from the Lands End Lookout Visitor's Center. One of the best viewing points of the Golden Gate in San Francisco is from the Land Ends Park.
Walk the Lands End trail starting from Eagles Point towards Sutro Baths. My suggestion is to do it in the afternoon and see the sunset from Sutro Baths.
Take the Muni bus 1 to Eagles Point and 18 or 38 back to town. This is a very close up shot of a plant that looks so ordinary that you probably passed by many times and stopped to look...but i found it so interesting and beautiful through the macro lens...the greenhouse part of the
Conservatory of Flowers is a great little place to do macro shots of plants and flowers (no wind, and filtered sunlight, makes it so perfect!). Golden Gate Bridge on a drizzly afternoon Gentle beauty! This is one of two windmills near Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Found this area interesting to explore. I was surprised at the wildlife in this park. Buffalos! Spend the afternoon bathing in the sun setting at Sutro Baths... #offthebeatenpath #roadtrip #sanfrancisco #californiadreaming #remnants #nationalpark #waterlust The stand of cypress trees that greet you as you enter the Lands End Lookout of Golden Gate National Recreation Area. #treetrove The Sutro Baths were a large, privately owned swimming pool complex near Seal Rocks in San Francisco, built in the late 19th century.
#waterlust #blue The Land's End trail is the only urban hike I have gone on, and if you are the outdoorsy type, you will appreciate making time for it if you visit the Bay Area! Nature is combined with views of the city, making for a unique experience! A beauty statement.
#Colorful Spent some time walking in the park A soft purple water lily bloom reflecting perfectly in the still water of the aquatic plant room inside the Conservatory of Flowers. The Chantastic Burger from Bill's Place named after local news personality, Lisa Chan. An American cheeseburger topped with onion rings, pineapple, coleslaw and sliced beets! Beauty yet deadly. I wouldn't wanna be anywhere near these guys but they are amazing to watch as they gracefully swim in the water. These were just finished in July-August of 2015 This Place is so relaxing, the smell of the plants and trees are awesome, this is the best view of the Treasure Tower this place was build on 1894 and becomes the oldest Japanese Garden on the United States. Yes I did my research lol hope you have the opportunity to enjoy this place with the people you love the same way I did with My Princess Alondra. Built in the late 19th century as a swimming pool complex, the area is now in ruins. Dancing ladies Pagodas reflect in the Koi pond of the Golden Gate Park Japanese Tea Garden. #sanfrancisco #beach #flowers #goldenhour #hiking Sunset at Lands End in San Francisco This place is so scenic and beautiful! #sf A little drop of water collected on a lily pad, I love doing macro photography here... #waves The golden bridge! #GoldenBridge #SF #SanFrancisco #Cali #LifeAtExpedia #Sep2016 I love this view of Golden Gate Bridge So, at 6th ave and Kennedy Dr inside Golden Gate Park, there is a little spot of blacktop for roller skaters who like to boogie to the funky beat on wheels. This is the Some kind of purple flowers at full bloom in the thick of the winter season at the golden gate park. I can see the golden gate from the beach😊😊😊got to walk a little more miles to reach there 🏃 The remodel still amazes even after a few years! Koi of the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park. I lost track of time watching them swirl around int the water, gliding back and forth under the stone bridge. American Robin at the Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco. Such a peaceful place full of bird life. My family trip in San Francisco last year, after a nice walk in the park and toured de Young Museum for a skypine view of the city, my cousin Kuya took us to his favourite sushi restaurant. Also had ramen. SCORE! My brother and I loves to eat and we told cousin Kuya, well I told him that I love ramen so we went to this place that he knows has good ramen and sushi. Killed two birds at once. After all the walking, exercise, and sweat, the day tour ended with yum chow. My first Trover post .. spent the morning letterboxing with my little adventurers. Love that these two windmills have been restored. I love finding new trails and beaches. They had a bunch of these weird trees in between the museums. I am not sure if they groom them and cut of their leaves or they are supposed to naturally look like these. A little bit of Georgia in San Francisco! Located on Geary (near the intersection with 19th) the Moscow and Tbilisi Bakery offers Russian and Georgian dishes to the local community.
Dishes such as the Russian chibureki and shuba are available. I stopped in and said hello to the owner, who was born and raised in Tbilisi's Avlabari neighborhood.
Be sure to drop in and give this place a try if you find yourself in San Francisco! Lands End Located in the Music Concourse within Golden Gate Park, home to music performances.
