Great hotel...modern contemporary and clean. Only problem was a leaking toilet and a bit of street noise, but you're in the city!

Not What Reviews Claim

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Location: Fine area, close to tourist areas and things to do.
I booked this hotel based on the pretty decent reviews and seemingly good price. I was clearly tricked by the price as the hotel was in pretty gross condition. When I arrived at check in the receptionist was bartering a room upgrade if I gave a good review. Which makes sense as to why they have some decent reviews. Its self, the hotel was very outdated, the rooms smelt, beds were uncomfortable. I refused to even take a shower because there was mold growing on the walls and on the curtain. When I checked in later in the day there were take out boxes littered amongst the hall where cleaning services failed to clean anything up, clearly food sitting there over night well into the afternoon. One of the worst hotel experiences I've had. My advice is to splurge the extra $50 for a cleaner place.

Good location, exceptionally poor customer service

Pros: Location
Cons: Hotel staff need to stop treating their customers like lying fools and insisting that they know everything when they CLEARLY dont
Location: Located in the financial district. Not many restuarants open after-hours - a 30 minute walk to North Beach
Worst customer service from any hotel I've ever stayed at. Called hotel from the airport to say I'd be late as an inbound flight was delayed so I missed a connection to which they stated that they would make a note on the booking. After checking in and reviewing the bill the hotel the hotel charged a cancellation fee and insisted outright I never called them! I had to go down to the duty manager play my phone recording of me calling and informing them. Rude, disrespectful and arrogant would be the best way to describe them.

Location: Love the location with Chinatown only 3 blocks away
Check in/out was extremely fast. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Afternoon snacks in lobby/living room area. Felt safe as hotel key required for elevator use.

Location: walkign distance to fisherman's wharf. nob hill, cable care. BART etc etc
surprised to get a top quality hotel at a very reasonable expedia rate. this hotel is a little gem. there is a cosy living room feel in the common area with lattee/espresso machine, fruit bowl, large screen tv and comfy chairs - plus use of two computers/ Each floor has a supply of plastic bottles near the elevator with access to purified water to fill your own.. and, free wifi

Great location, but that's about it

The hotel was central to where I needed to be for business, but the check in process with the kiosk was weird and seemed unnecessary. The toilet in my room ran all night, about every twenty minutes. The carpet was filthy and had debris on it. There was no sound proofing between rooms, and when the person staying in the room next to me got up the next morning at 5:30am, I could hear every step of the process.

Dear Expedia guest, we are sorry that you suffered so many issues with us during your stay. I do hope that we were made aware of your challenges so that we may address them. We of course want to make sure that no other guests have to deal with a running toilet. And, in the process we'd like to to ensure that this hotel is wasting water. I'm apologize for the cleanliness you described. Our staff takes pride in how we clean. It's unfortunate that our room was not up to our standards. If I may be of assistance to you in the future, please let me know. We do appreciate you staying with us. Take care. Patrick Jackson - Hotel Manager
