Thin walls and cold showers

After the front desk clerk finished her phone call she checked us in. After gazing at our view of the stucco-walled building next door, I listened to the tv in the next room until about midnight. The shower has 2 settings: flambé and frost bite. Making that choice every morning is exciting. On the last night I listened to the tv in the next room until 6am and went for a nice walk up Lombard Street with the sunrise.

I would definitely plan another trip and stay here. A very central location.

The staff were not kind and very slow

Location: The hotel is walking distance from Ghirardelli Square and Fisherman's Wharf. There's plenty to do down there.
When I checked in, the staff rudely notified me that I had no booking. I showed them my booking from Expedia. It turns out when I changed my booking, between Expedia and the hotel, the booking was lost. The error was not my fault. The hotel staff made no effort to apologize for being unkind and were unable to fulfill my room request because of the cancellation. They instead put me into a smaller room and switched me two days into my booking. I might be expecting too much, but I'm used to hotel staff making some kind of effort (even a bottle of water) to make up for their mistakes. They made no effort to compensate me for the inconveniences. I was very dissatisfied. The hotel itself is mediocre. The free breakfast was lackluster. The eggs were gross.

Good location

Great hotel with a terrific view

Very comfortable hotel with a great view of the bay & the Golden Gate Bridge. Well situated. Close access to public transportation.

Nice Hotel

Pros: The clean room and we were right next to the ice machine and vending machine.
Cons: The breakfast could definitely use an improvement.
Location: The location of the hotel was easy to get to when we took Lyft. Our parking was easy under the hotel as well.
The hotel was nice, our room was clean and bed was comfortable. The breakfast could definitely be improved. Very basic foods were only provided like bagels, cereal, yogurt and you could make waffles which was nice, but I didn't. The pastries were hard and cold and so was the butter, peanut butter, etc. The eggs looked very weird and the sausages were hard. They did not look fresh at all. It would have been nice to have fresh eggs that were scrambled or bacon. We paid to have a view of the bay and when I asked at check-in if we had the view she said oh yes of course and when we got to our room the view was buildings. Thankfully we only stayed one night.

Convenient, clean and friendly establishment

Pros: View from the room was great.
Cons: Wi fi hardly worked when we were there. Also, walls are very thin, specially when young family staying next door.
Location: Walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. Handy buses to Union Square and California Academy of Science & Golden Gate Bridge.
Within walking distance to the Bay area. Rooms with a view have a wonderful outlook into the bay and Golden Gate Bridge. Breakfast was handy in the morning, specially if you have kids with you.

Overnite in S.F.

Pros: It was nice and cozy
Cons: Ceiling above fan unit needed dusting and was noisey, fridge didn't work that well didn't stay cold enough
Location: Sorry, didn't get a chance to do any touring.
First time to spend the night in San Fransisco, of course I got price shock eveb for a Comfort Inn.

Great stay at a great price

Pros: Great stay at an affordable price. The staff was very nice. The location is great. Comfortable bed with clean sheets.
Cons: No complaints, really. It was everything I hoped it to be.
Location: Right on Lombard St, walking distance from Fisherman's Wharf. Bus to the Golden Gate Bridge cost $2.25 and took 15 minutes. 47/49 bus every 5 minutes.

Decent hotel

Location: Walking distance to fishermans wharf, pier 39, and crooked street. Not too far from the mall either.
The location of the hotel was convenient. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Amenities such as free breakfast is a perk! However, the room we stayed in did not have a mini fridge or a microwave. Make sure you read the fine print, if you use the safe in your room, they will charge you a fee.
