Was a nice hotel about a 40 min walk easy to Golden Gate Bridge and same distance the other way to the pier. Only frustration we had was they were doing renovations and started early in the morning so it was a noisy wake up

Hotel Within Walking Distance Of Attractions

Posted Jan 18, 2016
Pros: Location, close to attractions and restaurants.
Cons: Soundproofing, add a small table and chairs to the room. Need to do a little cosmetic repair.
Location: Hotel location is about a half hour walk to Golden Gate bridge, Warf area, and a few blocks over from Crescent Street where the restaurant are located
Hotels situated on the quite stretch of Lombard St.. Room was clean, Staff were friendly. Hotel offered a small continental Breakfast, muffins, juice, and coffee. No place to eat thougfh and the room had no table. Safe wouldn't work ,so couldn't lock up our passports and valuables. Bed was comfortable but pillows not so great. All in all I'd stay there again.

Budget hotel that has what you need.

Posted Jan 14, 2016
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was basic but fine. Breakfast was basic but a good way to start the day. Only downside was it was a little too far from downtown. If you stay here you should like walking or use public transport.

This is our second stay at this Inn. The location is great, the rooms comfortable and the staff friendly. The only negative is the swing of the bathroom door.

Wonderful hotel

Posted Jan 7, 2016
This hotel was amazing! Everything about it! Cleanliness, location, staff and facilities. We arrived before check in, and they put us in a room immediately which was great because we had been flying all morning. The staff were excellent, and were willing to accomodate to all our needs. I will definitely be staying here again!

Quiet hotel off the beaten path.

Posted Jan 6, 2016
Pros: Location, quiet, staff, easy access to the bus lines.
Cons: Plumbing, it was difficult to get the right temp in the shower. Breakfast could use more variety.
Location: Quiet location away from the tourist focused areas. Go to Marhall's or Baker Beach, take the Alcatraz tour. The bus makes the whole city accessible.
When we originally booked this hotel, I was concerned that it would be too far from the things we wanted to do. It turned out the other way around. There are no tourist shops nearby, and that was fine with us. What was nearby was the Presidio, the Marina, The Palace of Fine Arts, and the restaurants and delis on Chestnut Street. The bus that runs in front of the hotel can take you through the Presidio, then south past Golden Gate park, or, east far enough to catch another bus to Fisherman's wharf. It's also a short walk from the hotel to the bus that runs up to the visitor center at Golden Gate Bridge, and assorted trails there. I highly recommend getting a bus pass for however long you'll be there. The hotel itself is an older hotel, but seems to have been remodeled in the last few years. The bed was firm, and we slept very well. The place was also quiet. Our room had a refrigerator, but no coffee maker. The "continental breakfast" seems to be more of an afterthought, but it was enough to get us going and out the door in the morning. If your room has a refrigerator, you might want to take advantage of one of the small groceries on Chestnut. Overall, it's a good hotel, in a good location off the beaten path, and I would stay there again without hesitation.

Great Location and Good Price for SF

Posted Dec 29, 2015
Pros: Location and price
Cons: Bed sheets, towels, and a little increase in cleanlines
Owners very friendly and accommodating, rooms are what you expect from a Motel (this is not a hotel!). Location is less than a block from the Presidio Lombard gate. Walking distance to Chestnut street shopping and food. Overall a great price/location/facility combination.

Convenient location.

Posted Dec 1, 2015
Pros: Location.
Cons: More light in the rooms. More parking. New carpet.
Location: The Presidio was just a block away, and there are many nice restaurants within walking distance.
The location of this hotel was very good. Convenient, but not right on the busy part of Lombard. The room was somewhat dated, but clean. There was not enough parking one night, and I had to park on the street. There was no coffee maker in the room, and the office whitch provided coffee was not open before 7 a.m. The pastries provided were not fresh. A light that did not work in my room was not repaired during my stay. The owners were very pleasant. The price was reasonable.

Value for $ in a very costly city

Posted Nov 30, 2015
Pros: Location, so clean, good breakfast by SFO standards, very obliging operators, very clean, smells sweet,
Cons: Not a thing
Location: Crispy Field, Palace of Fine Arts, forests in Presidio on #43 bus, every bus going to every location nearby,Kobani med restaurant nearby a must
Old style motel hardly seen in Oz these days, but the makeover in our room was so well done the exterior became irrelevant. Filtered water throughout, big teev, fresh linens, firm mattress with soft topper on the huge bed. Thoughtful colour scheme, comfy chairs, all very good. Top all that off with really nice genuine staff - happy housekeepers say it all. Thanks for the experience it was tops.

einfaches Übernachtungshotel

Posted Nov 19, 2015
Pros: Preis-Leistung stimmt, um die Ecke gabs nen Supermarkt mit Radeberger :-D
Cons: dickere Wände bzw. wenn sich die Hellhörigkeit noch etwas mindern ließe
Location: Beim Presido Park.
