When we booked our room, we were told nothing about the fact that they had been shut down due to the pandemic and that there were no services available, such as TV. We were completely aware that all of the city was shut down and brought our own meals. Sitting in the small room without any amenities and not being told this or offered a discount was very disappointing. We stay here often and do not believe this to be good customer service.

No tv!!! My mom had to go to a dr appt in SF , every 3 months she’s sees a specialist so even with the stay at home order she went. She always stays here because the dr is right next door. They check in fine, the hotel is only allowing 10 rooms to rent at this time , then they add oh the only thing is there is no tv. Well when you are stuck in a hotel with literally no where to go no tv is a big deal. If they would have told us that ahead of time we could have at least brought a laptop with some dvds or something. Very disappointed in the this situation. A credit should have been given for not having any tv.

Nice place

Nice place across the street from CPMC hospital. Our room was small, but nice and clean. I’d stay again!

Nice stay

Enjoyable. Good Reno job from the hotel’s days as the Opal. Got good pre-Christmas rates so it was value for money. Their “normal” rates, however, blow the value proposition right out of the water.

Loved it!

Valet staff were so quick and friendly. The place was clean and in great condition. Very convenient spot- nearby restaurants and bars.

Beautiful hotel!

Beautiful Hotel! I really enjoyed the decor and overall look of this place. Staff was fevers friendly. No issues. Would definitely stay here again!

The property is newly remodled as a courtyard marriot. Its very clean, the rooms are nice. Main issue i had was parking. Due to construction there is no where to park. The hotel has a small lot but they call it valet parking and its $50. There is no other choice, the expedia description is somewhat misleading on this point. It implies there is any other choice. Also the parking is right out the door, i dont need a valet to get it and move it 30 feet to me. Its very misleading. So add 50 to the price, you have no choice. Staff was pleasant but not overly helpful at all.

Happy but could have been better

Overall experience was great. Would have been better had the construction in the front not been going on. Didn’t have a view but didn’t really care. Biggest issue was lack of space for two full beds. Room should have been bigger or not offered. Beds were also uncomfortable but also could have been due to the beds being fulls rather than queens.

San Francisco

Hotel is nice and newer - cool vibe / colors $50 for parking and lots of homeless in tents on the side of the building - we walked down to the warf without issue

A most outstanding property!

Fantastic! The hotel is a gorgeous historic property that has been remodeled to the highest standard. I loved just walking through it, up and down the vintage staircases. The front desk staff is wonderful! Thank you Sandra for all your help! The location is perfect - 15 minutes walk to Union Square; Mel's Kitchen is basically attached to the property (order the Spare Rib Grilled Cheese sandwich) and across the street is the famous Tommy's Joynt (featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives).

大人3人、子供2人の5人でジュニアスイート(といっても部屋が広いだけ)に宿泊(5人で一部屋で泊まれるホテルはSFには少ない)。 5つ星クラスのホテルの近代的な設備はないが、1908年(明示41年!)開業の伝統あるホテルで、ロビーの雰囲気は悪くない。 値段相応に部屋の設備も調っている。冷蔵庫はないのはちょっとマイナス。 ホテルのロビーのスタッフのチェックイン時の説明は丁寧で英語も聞き取りやすい。ヨーロッパ、アジア等非英語圏の客も多いためと思われる。24時間無料でコーヒー、紅茶類がポットで提供されているのもよい。 朝食はぎりぎり合格点。サラダはないけど、フルーツ、ヨーグルトがある分、チェーンのモーテルよりはいいかなという感じ。マック行くよりはいいでしょう。 難点は立地/環境か。自分はレンタカーだったが、周囲の環境が少し悪いので出歩くには相応の用心が必要か。とはいえ、家族で3ブロックほど歩いてベトナム料理店に夕食に行ったりしてたので、出歩けないほどではない。

不満のない良質なホテル

場所はUnion SquareからGeary Stを西に歩いて約15分ほどのところにあり、中心より少し遠いが、基本的に安価で、無料の朝食、無料の高速無線LAN、水曜の夕方には無料のワインとチーズのレセプションがあり、基本的サービスは良い。近所には安いレストランもあって便利である。
