Foster City is a great area. Safe, quiet, nice people. I like this hotel because there is a bar/restaurant that has decent food. It’s nice to be able to grab a drink and not have to drive.

The positives about this hotel are that there is free parking, close to the freeway and shopping and restaurants and there is a bar/lounge in the hotel. Had a great time there. This was my first and last time staying here though. The walls are thin and can here the room above us. The cleaning crew were very loud and the guests in the morning. The shower head was too low and the pressure too hard. Too expensive to stay here. Will be staying in another hotel.

Privacy issues
I had a horrible experience staying at this hotel. At 4am, staff entered my room without knocking. Thankfully I had the latch on. The person entering the room had asked if I had called guest services which I had not. Staff entered my room again around 10:30am without knocking again. This time I had forgot to put the latch. Staff gave the excuse it was housekeeping but why is housekeeping entering my room without knocking and I have the do not disturb sign hanging on the knob. Checkout wasn’t until 12 noon so that also didn’t make any sense. I spoke with the manager and she comped me for 2 people to eat brunch and gave us a late checkout at 2pm.

Hot water was not working. Had the shower on heat for over 9 minutes before it finally started to warm up. Parts of the carpet floor were wet . Notified guest services, they offered another room, which we took. Wet carpet problem was solved but unfortunately, the hot water was still a minor problem due to inpatient kids. The hotel looked very nice everything was well kept and cleaned. The parking was very easy and plenty of it. Across the freeway there was Costco and many other stores. Very accessible to all the stores and restaurants. My room was cleaned and well kept. I had all the amenities that I needed for my night stay. The pool was closed so no access to that room to use the jacuzzi.

Pleasant and welcoming check in experience. Room is nice with 2 comfortable beds and pillows, bathroom met our expectations. Old technology television, I wish they upgrade their tv’s to SMART TVs with internet connection. Breakfast buffet for $25 per person is pretty decent considering this is the San Francisco Bay Area.
