Beautiful, unique hotel

We stayed due to airline layover but now have planned a trip to San Fransisco just to stay at Crowne Plaza. Unreal hotel with cool spa treatment in room for relaxation. Put us right to sleep. Wonderful hotel!

Great location, great price

That's was a nice hotel. But, they had a consultion recent, so, make it little no good! Overroll is a great location, and very clean hotels!

Great place, great staff

It was a great place to stay, the staff was friendly. It was clean. Just a slight challenge the hotel can't control- the construction made getting around hard, and my Lyft drivers kept getting lost. Shoutout to Ronna for her awesome energy.

Good hotel, excellent customer rep service

Pros: Customer service is always king!
Location: If you don't want your vacationers to go to another hotel to dine out or go for cocktails....then please improve your restaurant.
Was here for leisure visit, was raining all the days i was there. Customer service was excellent but lobby was blah and would've been nice to have more room to sit in comfort once you come in from the rain and cocktail or cafe area to be readily accessible to wind you down. Restaurant needs major interior design makeover. But otherwise for the price of the hotel considering others around it is great. But if you want improvements and one more star above your belt....everything else is cosmetic.

Useful airport hotel

Location: There is an area called the Boardwalk which has a few good restaurants and a friendly Irish bar, but everything except the bar, closes really early.
I chose the hotel based upon price, proximity to the airport and the local town. The hotel is tired and being refurbished. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, airport shuttle is useful. The in room heater/cooler has noisy. Restaurant and bar are not particularly pleasant places to be, it is a business/short stay hotel. There is an area called the Boardwalk which is within walking distance, it has a few good restaurants and a friendly Irish bar, but most things except the bar, close around 8.30pm.

Good for a night stay.

Pros: The staff and the cafe.
Cons: Update the entire place.
The hotel staff is very sweet and the actual room was clean and seemed to have been updated. The rest of the hotel was far from it. One elevator looked like it was about to be down for maintenance with moving blankets tacked up on the walls. The hall carpets were very dated and looked to be falling apart. The walls are so thin that I could hear every conversation, snoring, and sneezing happening in the next room. That being said, if you need a place to crash for one night, it is reasonable, but I wouldn't make a family vacation out of it.

Very comfortable and clean

We were on the executive floor, so maybe that made a difference, but we had a truly enjoyable experience. Nice room - very clean. New carpet. Comfortable bed with great pillows. We did not eat at the restaurant or order room service so can't make a comment about that. Very convenient to the SFO airport. The only slight negative was that the hotel was difficult to get to since none of the surrounding roads connect to Airport Rd. except one. Will definitely stay at this hotel again!

Close to the SFO airport, but...

Pros: The staff compensated for the state of the hotel and surroundings quite well
Cons: Needs renovation badly
Location: 5 minutes to SFO via shuttle bus
This hotel choice was made for the last night of a multi-day business trip to Silicon Valley, and the proximity to the SFO airport for a next-morning flight. The surrounding area at the intersection of Hwy 101 and Broadway is under construction. GPS was useless except for getting us within site of the hotel; the rest was dead-reckoning navigation and guessing. Check in was quick and painless. The staff were prompt and friendly. The hotel itself is in dire need of renovation, which I was later told, is currently underway. However, our cramped room with a 2nd floor view of the dumpsters was only tolerable. The hallway carpets were worn and stained - all in all the look of a 1990's hotel. That said - The staff seemed to know that they were the last line of defense for keeping a guest content. At every turn, the front desk, restaurant/bar, housekeepers, and shuttle driver were friendly and outgoing. I suspect the manager has made everyone aware that until the construction outside and renovation inside are complete, they are at a distinct disadvantage to the nearby competition. We needed a refrigerator in the room, and one was brought in within minutes of the request. The TV remote was not functioning, and one was brought up in minutes as well. I would recommend a room as high up as possible, and on the bay side of the hotel. Because of the staff's efforts to make the stay a good one, I would consider this hotel again - but AFTER construction and renovation is complete!
