Close to the SFO airport, but...
Posted Jan 24, 2017
This hotel choice was made for the last night of a multi-day business trip to Silicon Valley, and the proximity to the SFO airport for a next-morning flight.
The surrounding area at the intersection of Hwy 101 and Broadway is under construction. GPS was useless except for getting us within site of the hotel; the rest was dead-reckoning navigation and guessing.
Check in was quick and painless. The staff were prompt and friendly. The hotel itself is in dire need of renovation, which I was later told, is currently underway. However, our cramped room with a 2nd floor view of the dumpsters was only tolerable. The hallway carpets were worn and stained - all in all the look of a 1990's hotel.
That said - The staff seemed to know that they were the last line of defense for keeping a guest content. At every turn, the front desk, restaurant/bar, housekeepers, and shuttle driver were friendly and outgoing. I suspect the manager has made everyone aware that until the construction outside and renovation inside are complete, they are at a distinct disadvantage to the nearby competition.
We needed a refrigerator in the room, and one was brought in within minutes of the request. The TV remote was not functioning, and one was brought up in minutes as well.
I would recommend a room as high up as possible, and on the bay side of the hotel.
Because of the staff's efforts to make the stay a good one, I would consider this hotel again - but AFTER construction and renovation is complete!

I must admit your review was a good one. It detailed a pretty fair assessment of the situation in terms of the overpass construction and our staff's effort to do the best they can under the circumstances. Thank you for choosing to stay with us and we hope to see you again after the construction is completed in a few months.
