Nice hotel close to transport

Very nice hotel which was a nice walk to fisherman's wharf and marina district. Close to transport with plenty of great restaurants nearby.

Below average at best

Posted Apr 24, 2017
Pros: The breakfast wasn't bad.
Cons: The maid needs to be MUCH more thorough. Needs better wi-fi and room amenities (ie microwave, small fridge). The whole property could use a facelift.
Location: The location wasn't bad. It's close to Lombard St., small groceries, Fishermans Wharf, etc but I will find someplace else closer in the future.
I noticed a muggy smell when we entered the room and it got worse after I turned on the A/C. I noticed a glowing light on it that stated "Clean Filter". I took the filter out and it was caked with dust. It had obviously not been cleaned in months, if not years (photo attached). I cleaned the air filter and moved on because I had just gotten off a long flight. I went to the bathroom and the vent had dust all over it as well (photo attached) and I looked in the shower and it had black mold on it as well (photo attached). Those three issues alone will cause me to never come back to this hotel, but aside from that, the TV had a horrible listing menu that didn't show the actual shows that were playing and rather showed a list of abbreviated TV stations. It was terrible to pick a station to watch. Also, a small fridge and even a microwave would have made the room MUCH more appealing and "livable" for the week. Wi-fi was average at best as well. Oh yeah, I almost forgot that the shower had a dispenser on the wall for shampoo, conditioner and body wash instead of individual small bottles. I thought it was REALLY weird that they trusted that the previous guests didn't tamper or fill the dispensers with "foreign" substances that the next guest would fall victim too. Really strange to say the least. We won't be back and don't recommend it to anyone whose staying for longer than a day or two max.

Did not enjoy much because it was raining the whole time we were there. Missed the night tour and the free bike.

Pros: location: walking distance to many sites; on a bus route. Excellent front staff.
Cons: Breakfast: would have liked to see it changed up from one day to the next - always the same things (we were there for 5 days). Too many pastries.
Went to San Francisco to see the "sights". Overall, had a great experience....doing all the "must sees" . Everything is easily accessible and staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful.

Good Hotel

Good hotel reasonable but 35 dollars a night parking is really high. You can take a chance and park on the street but that can also mean a broken window on your car from auto burglars or a ticket and really expensive tow fee about 300.00 plus. If you didn't read or see the street signs.

Awesome trip. Chinatown and Little Italy is so nice to walk and eat. The only downfall was the homeless.

Clean hotel in good location

Good location, walking distance to fishermans wharf and pier 39. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were basic but clean. Included breakfast was convenient and good options for just continental.

Pros: Had a ceiling fan.
Rooms were thin and heard all the noise from outside and in and around my room. The room was not as clean as expected.
