motel rather than a hotel

Posted Aug 19, 2015
Pros: cost
The place was clean, but very basic and in some disrepair. Upon checking in I was asked for my credit card and a picture ID. I was surprised and not very happy that my driving license was xeroxed and the copy was kept on file. My request to return it when I was checking out was refused and I was informed that this is their policy and that the copy will be shredded at some later point (?).

Old style motel in need of more improvement

Posted Aug 17, 2015
Room was bare when we entered. We had to ask for a number of things; another day we had to ask for towells. Motel is currently being renovated, but it also needs an improvement in quality of service to match other places we stayed. Pool is pleasant.

Recent Stay

Posted Aug 10, 2015
Pros: ?
Cons: read my above experience and build off of that.
the tub and sink appeared to have some mold which I would have expected bleach would have easily cleaned up. The fan in the bathroom was really loud. the hotel seemed to reuse towels even if you through them on the floor. And when my keys didn't work to my room, I would have expected the staff to offer to bring me the keys but instead I had to walk to the office. And my reservation through Expedia said I was getting king size bed with a balcony but I'm pretty sure I had a queen size bed and the only balcony was the one that was outside my front door which was shared with every other room on my side of the building....as opposed to there were some rooms that had private balconies. And the picture on expedia must have been from when the hotel was newly built I don't know how many years ago bc it made it appear as though the grounds and facilities were very well kept.

The pool is great. The manager a bit aggressive.

Posted Aug 9, 2015
Pros: House keepers were very good. Self directed and self responsible. They have hard work and still wear a smile.
Cons: a/c. The curtains are in the way of the fan... they are slightly to long for the weight of them.
Location: I loved the location. I have never been there before and it was very easy to use public transportation. Money but easy and well worth it.
A passive aggressive manager. They did not have two beds for me as I had reserved. No food voucher nor a credit on the down grade... Days inn's management refused to give expedia permission to credit ... House Keeping and the Pool were the two greatest assets. Public transportation was easy and available. the Sam Tran, Cal-Train worked well to get to the city. It was about 40 mins. Make sure to have your ticket as the fare inspectors are regulars on the train... The time went by FAST> YOU CAN IGNORE A PERSON, but NOT THE HEAT.

nice location, very close to Stanford

Posted Aug 3, 2015
Location: There is a Target and Costco nearby. And very close to freeway.
The hotel is small but very nice. We got there after we visited Stanford. The room size is OK, but pretty clean on everything. The breakfast room is in lobby, so very crowd in the morning, but it is fine we only stayed there for one night.

They don't provide breakfast for all gust. It's who ever gets there first gets what they have. The room was a lil dirty like something was on the wall. One of the towels had something on it. The police showed both nights I stayed. Stayef at the hotel with our soccer team. Two of the family's had to switch rooms due to bugs, broken air conditioner and a toilet flood.

Looks ok from the outside

Posted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: Room faced pool in interior courtyard and was a corner room with two windows.
Cons: Owners need to perform needed repairs and replace moldy shower curtains!
Location: Not far from Whole Foods and Barnes and Noble and Safeway, but you still need to drive to get to these.
Quite a bit of mold on the bottom of the shower curtain, toilet seat was broken, bathroom sink had 2 temperatures, cold and scalding. Staff was unable to give me a receipt upon check-out and explained it had something to do with a deal with Expedia.
