Older hotel with a nice lobby. We went to our first room (#201) and from the pictures, you can probably see why we asked to change rooms. The carpet was coming up in the corner, large stain on the only chair in the room, square chunks where something had been cut out from the wall? It smelled like chlorine and bleach, which was a plus for the bathroom.
Went down to the lobby and asked for a new room (the front desk girl was very nice about that), then we went up to room 505. MUCH better, though the smoke alarm batter was dying and it took 3 hours to get that changed out.
This room faces the street and there is a bar downstairs across the street. It sounded like we had the windows open- it was extremely noisy. Room was cleaner, but for the price I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Anna: Sorry your stay wasn't perfect and we are address such items where the hotel is replacing carpet and deep cleaning the rooms daily. Yes the hotel is in an urban location where noise will be heard but a good sleep, clean room should be without question the nature of your stay and visit. I do hope you enjoyed your visit however to San Francisco and if you'd like tor review your account for any restitution please contact any of our staff at our reception desk anytime.
