My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our west coast trip. The hotel staff at the front desk were nice and allowed us to check in early. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The building itself is very neat, is historic but was renovated.
The breakfast was nice, I would say a step above continental, with eggs, toast, muffins, juice, and cereal.
The area was really nice for walking around. It is about a 15 minute walk from the shopping area of Union Square and right near Chinatown.
Unfortunately there were two areas of disappointment in the hotel for us. There was a problem with the boiler the first day of our stay and was never fixed while we were there. This resulted in cold showers and no hot water in the room.
Secondly, the house keeping was on an odd schedule. We hadn’t seen them for the first 3 days but on our last day, a Saturday, they knocked on our door once at 8:30am and again at 10:30am when check out was at noon. The room was not cleaned while we were there.
Overall it was an ok stay, comfortable for a night or two.
