Pros: location on Nob Hill
Staff is very friendly and professional. The room, the lobby, check-in, valet and breakfast dining was all very good.

Excellent view with outstanding service.

Pros: Outstanding view, great service.
Cons: EL Centro Cafe not being so far away.
Location: Alcatraz Island, Fisherman's Wharf, and San Fransisco.
Excellent view with outstanding service. The desk clerk, Helena, was outstanding and very helpful. The concierge were helpful with directing us to restaurants still open that were close by, tickets for the Hop-on Hop Off Bus, and other helpful information.

When I called to ask about the room location, they were quick to mention that I booked through a "3rd party", and these rooms do not have a view. I told them that my clients were celebrating a 10 year anniversary, and to please congratulate them when they came in. They didn't treat them the way the Fairmont normally treats their clients. I was disappointed in this.

Great Birthday Celebration!

A beautiful hotel, with friendly staff... From the doorman to the reception desk staff, everyone made us feel special. The room was cleaned daily, the bedding YUMMY, and we savored the entire experience.......... I wasn't quite ready to go home, so I guess we'll return soon...

Is not that well located compare to others, and the rooms are old. The rug was dirty or old I do not know and the room smelled. It had a nice view.

Overall good... Only thing is the toothbrush and toothpaste were apparently used and not replaced with a new set.

The Fiarmont is expected to be a high end 5 star franchise. I was disappointed that the SF Fairmont was poorly appointed with walls that were not adequately insulated from other guests. The shower was awful having to struggle with a low flow showerhead. The bar refrigerator was so small as to not allow us to store any of the gourmet cheeses we love to buy when in SF. In all, the building, although beautiful, was aged and in desperate need of new money.
