Noise Issue

Pros: Bed and shower were great.
Cons: Noise. Sound proofing
Location: its central
Hotel should be nice considering cost and location. I stayed on the first floor. There are only three rooms besides the gym and Starbucks. You can hear everything in the hallway. Doors are very heavy so when a neighbor or for me someone uses the gym you hear it load. Multiple times I though someone was coming into my room. You can also hear everything in the next room. Walls are thing and so are the windows. Bed and shower were great. Room otherwise was clean and staff was so nice. I would never take the shuttle to the airport again. Whatever company they use is on time but the guy was very rude and called people out on NOT tipping him. Rude. Anyway nice hotel but slight issues.

Unpleasant experience

This hotel is dirty and noisy. Won't stay there again!

Quiet, cozy and stylish

I love this place! Stated here years ago, glad I returned. Staff was nice, KILLER restaurant attached, and quiet for being on Geary on a Saturday. Will return!!

ReThink before you book this Hotel!!

Very disappointing! Very old building, no comforts, small bathroom, bathroom sink in the bedroom, window air conditioner, horrible elevator (noisy and felt like it was going to breakdown) blahish...felt like a prison cell LOL. Just pay the extra $50-$100 and stay at a REAL place... LOL you feel better and enjoy your trip much more.

Central location - close to Union Square

The hotel is well located close to many restaurants and Union Square with a direct access to Starbucks which is a bonus if you don't want to be looking for breakfast spot. The staff was nice and efficient . The room was on the small side but then again we were never in the room. There is some room for improvement on cleaning corners and fixing the shower handle but overall we had a quiet room ( when we asked for) and that is very important to us. I would certainly recommend the hotel!

Good location

Pros: Location.
Cons: ROOM.
The hotel is in a great location close to lots of attractions. we came and been told that we were upgrade...I don't know for what because there was no tub in the room and the room was very small and dark ...I was very disappointed ....certainly did not need this kind of upgrade... I want a room that look like the photos in the web site.

Close to Union Square

Pros: Christine on the front desk was very helpful
Cons: state of repair of rooms poor value I felt but all SF accommodation very expensive.
Good location close to Union Square Rooms dark and in not great state of repair Smelled not particularly pleasant
