New gorgeous hotel that still learning

Posted Jul 6, 2016
This hotel is gorgeous, our rooms were comfortable and the staff are friendly; however, the hotel is new and it's obviously there's still some growing pains, I'll list a few below: - We found our sheets and towels to be stained, unknown yellow stains on the sheets and towels had make up stains. Naturally we complained and had to work with the staff over the course of a half hour at midnight to receive new sheets. We finally did and received a discount on our room for the inconvenience. - Small things like the conditioner was out and we asked for more twice and never relieved any. - room service is coming soon. - we called guest services on two separate occasions to have no one pick-up. All that being said, apart from the stains the hotel is located in the heart of downtown and the free bike rentals were great.

San Francisco

It's not really that close to Union Square, but several hotels in the area are named Union Square ...... We were treated very well and were allowed to check in at 11:00 AM because I had classes and my wife needed to stay somewhere. The rooms were modern, but small, which was acceptable for the price.

Hotel très bien situé, par contre chambre très petite. Service aux chambres et le bar ferme à 9h30 c'est assez ordinaire😖

Comfort stay near Union SQ

Posted Jun 12, 2016
5mins to Union square and 10mins to Powell station. Despite a little small room space, overall is good. There is complimentary cupcake in the lobby and k-cup coffee in room, hotel decorated with color in pineapple is cute btw

Delightful hotel in excellent position

Posted Jun 7, 2016
Pros: Everything specially the water infused with pineapple in the lobby for hen guests returned or waited
Cons: For a longer stay we probably would book the slightly larger rooms which we noticed when a door was left open after being prepared
Location: Close to Union Square. Plenty of eateries and restaurants as well as shops galore.
From the moment we entered the fresh-looking hotel with its trendy decor we were delighted. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was a bit on the small side compared to other hotels we stayed at but everything else was wonderful. It was clean, the towels were thick and fluffy. We had individual Doonas which was a first for us but it proved to be a great idea. The position of the hotel was very good being so close to Union Square.

Mary, Thank you so much for your feedback about our staff and amenities. You're absolutely correct, though not many, we do have a few larger rooms available, especially for longer stays. We look forward to welcoming you for one of those longer stays...soon!

Pros: Close to union sqare
Cons: make window easier to open and add window screen
Room is small and can hear some noise on street. Window is hard to open if you want some fresh air.

Dan, Thank you for your feedback. Our double-paned windows are indeed difficult to open. They are designed to keep out noise and dust from the city. Our in-room AC units work best when the windows are closed. However, depending on the room you occupied, pushing gently down on the window while activating the clasp, makes the unlocking a bit easier. Thanks for choosing to stay with us!

The Real Pineapple

Posted Jun 3, 2016
Pros: See above.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Location: Union Square/Theater district. Google it.
A fantastic value. My brief, 2-night stay at Hotel Grace was nearly perfect. Centrally located in the Union Square/Theater district, it was easy to find, with a quick 5-minute walk from the Powell Street BART station. The building itself a part of old, historic San Francisco, well restored and luxuriously appointed. Lobby is clean and open with super-fast & friendly service at the front desk. I never waited more than 10 seconds for assistance. Room was small but spotlessly clean, tastefully and charmingly decorated. Very comfortable bed with double-douvet European-style linens. Spacious closet. Ample USB+power ports built-in to table lamps for easy access. Heavy-duty, fast, reliable elevator + easy stair access to all floors: both are important to have in older buildings. Housekeeping was exceptional. Never ran into her in person, but she noticed that I was using earplugs at night, so the next day she had left a "Pineapple Hospitality" earplug set + case for me on the nightstand; such a nice, personal touch! 2 bottles of water provided every day + in-room Keurig/coffee selection. *** note: considering its location & age, the building is quiet, but you'll likely be able to hear some noise from the street, depending upon where your room is located. If you're sensitive to noise, bring earplugs.
