Nice location with a great view

Posted Jul 13, 2016
I love the view at 10th floor! Comfortable beds. Convenient location inside Japan town. But my rental car got window break-in during dinner; didn't know that SF has the highest rate in snap&go crimes, even in Japan town. I should have parked the car inside the garage right away. Hotel staff may consider warning to visitors in the future.

We're so happy you enjoyed and are sorry to hear of the unfortunate incident. As noted, we're happy to provide garaged parking for our guests and will continue offering this as a preferred option. We'd love to see you again and hope to share our comforts and a less disrupted experience the next time you're our guest.

Japanese style hotel in Japantown

Posted Jul 13, 2016
Pros: Beautiful and accommodating
Cons: Better food service. The breakfast buffet was pricey and the only thing available. I only wanted something small and nothing was available.
Location: Parking is at a premium. There is a public parking lot only one block away and it extends to below the hotel where there is an elevator to the hotel
My wife is Japanese and she felt at home. The restaurants and shopping are in close proximity and remind you of the Ginza. There is a very nice gym in the hotel. They could use some spray disinfect to clean the equipment before and after using.

Very nice hotel at a reasonable price.

Posted Jul 5, 2016
Pros: Location, helpful staff, and comfortable room.
Cons: No suggestion.
Location: Located in Japan city. Therefore, interesting shops nearby. Further, a city bus line passes in front of the hotel.
This was the second time staying at this hotel for a family vacation in San Francisco. We'll stay again. It's well located and served by a very nice and helpful staff. The rooms are large and comfortable. Although not cheap, the parking is convenient. Further, it's located on a bus line which is convenient for in-city travel. There is a bit of traffic noise if you have an outside room. Therefore, I suggest you request an inside room, that is, one facing the lovely garden.

Superb hotel experience!

Posted Jul 4, 2016
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Kabuki, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The experience was first class, from the time of check-in, to the time of check-out. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. And, we really liked the Japanese style rooms! (There are both American-style and Japanese-style rooms at the Hotel Kabuki...and we were given our choice, upon check-in.) Stepping into our room for the first time actually made me feel like we had been suddenly transported to old world Japan... Unlike Japan, however, where most hotel rooms are tiny...our room at Hotel Kabuki was VERY spacious! I give this hotel high marks!!

Hotel next to Japantown

Posted Jun 13, 2016
Cons: The parking lot should be included in the price that we paid for the room.
The hotel was close to Japantown and Fillmore street.

Don't update it too much!

Posted Jun 5, 2016
I stayed here years ago & loved it, but it was pricey. When I returned this week, thanks to a great Expedia deal, I loved the Japanese style---traditional screen style window coverings & (best of all) a deep soaking tub. When I asked during check out if all the rooms were similar to my own, I was told that in the coming renovation, the tubs were being replaced with walk in showers. I would encourage this hotel to stay with the old style. The staff was terrific & so were the accommodations.
