Bad room, great location
Posted Nov 23, 2016
Very small and outdated room with no air conditioning and very little airflow due to the solid brick wall for a view only a few feet from the window. We stayed here in November and the room was very stuffy with only a ceiling fan to move the air around. I'm not sure if all the rooms are like this but I would caution against staying here in the summer. The hotel offers a mediocre breakfast of bread, cereal, coffee and juice, but its free and it's enough to fill you up for the morning. All this being said, the hotel is in a fantastic location for getting around this city, and location is the most important thing for me so I would probably stay here again. Union square is right next to the hotel and all the hop-on-hop-off buses stop here, and the cable car stop is just down the street. There is lots of great shopping and eating in the area. Considering how expensive accommodation is in San Francisco this hotel is good value if you don't need anything fancy.
